Marek Mazanec

just wondering what's up with him, I can't find much info on him this season. I thought last year he deserved a look at the draft and maybe get drafted in the upcoming seasons as an over-age players but I can't find any info on him this season.

I was looking at Krejci's profile

http://www.hokej.cz/index.php?view=s...nik=0&idh=7847

and wondered what was the difference between the mix league and the other leagues (I, III) he played in 03-04

Czech junior league is played in this way. Teams are divided into Western and Eastern groups, and only then play each other. Therefore it designation (I, III), are gradually level of competition.

Bump.

Watching this guy playing against Sweden right now. I was hoping to see him play against Canada the other day but they played Novotny instead.

Looks like he is 19 so his draft year was 2(?) years ago.

What can others tell me about him that have obviously seen more than I have?

So far in this game he has looked pretty good. Very good size at 6'3. But still athletic.

didn't notice the thread got bumped but anyways, got the chance to see him play against Sweden ... box score isn't good obviously, got yanked and all ... but the obvious comparison I think is Vokoun. Mazanec looks a lot like him. Now it remains to be seen if he can attract scouts attention and whatnot but I kinda liked what I saw from him. Big athletic goalie like you said.
