Never thought I'd see this poll.
And I'm going with JVR.

Nodl, i dont really see JVR as a go to guy..

Nodl seems to have broken his "no goal" mystique...

Its sad to think about this. But if Nodl will be ona line with Richards and Zherdev he will get his chances. JVR might be glued to the bench.

Im actually going Nodl. This is more based off of who is playing well now though compared to who isnt.

Is Nodl a top 9 forward yet?

I couldn't see what was happening.

Anyone? Anyone at all?

I will say that it sucks to see JVR struggling so much, but it'll come with time.

I'm gonna go with JVR. When "it" clicks for JVR and he starts playing with confidence I don't think he'll be defendable, but of course there is also a decent chance that it never clicks for him. I'm still optimistic about his potential though.

Man are people tearing JVR a new one on here. Chill the **** out. I guarantee JVR stays on this team longer than Nodl does. He's 21 years old, stop worrying.

I have a feeling this is not going to be a very productive year for JVR at all. The knock per Meltzer or as far as what he's heard is not that the guy lacks commitment as he showed in the offseason but that he lacks a competitive killer type instinct on the ice. He doesn't seem to want to go that extra mile. I'm hoping he somehow picks it up but it's sounding like he's got a bit of a mental challenge he's going to have to overcome through maturity more than anything. He obviously has tremendous skill...

I think so...he needs a bit of excommunication to build up some mental fortitude......I didn't think so initially but now I'm starting to reconsider. I still don't want to trade him or give up on him...I think in a year or two he should break out but it will all depend on him building up his character a bit.

BTW..I like Nodl's game right now. I think he's paid his dues and should be a pretty good player. I'm also pleasantly surprised that Andreas NoGoal can now be referred to as Andreas FourGoal and hopefully Fivegoal and so on.....

I can not belive Nodl is playing better than JVR. But its actually a great thing. It just means that Nodl FINALLY turned it around, and looks for real. I'm very happy about that.

JVR is just struggling. I think AHL time is needed IMO. First line minutes. down there for a bit.

Nodl has a nice head start so I'm going with him.

I still think JVR is a better overall player.

Nodl is working his ass off out there, and the goals are finaly coming
JvR is one hell of a sophomore slump, he needs to learn to leave it all on the ice, maybe a trip up to Adirondack would help with that

JvR

Nodl's doing a great job of being in the right place at the right time

But...JvR has too much talent to keep this up all season, and has the ability to create scoring chances for himself, which I have yet to see from Nodl. It'll come.

Woulda been awesome to have this poll before the season started, and now to see the huge difference.

For the year probably JVR, but JVR played 6 minutes tonight none of which were on the PP. I'd rather see Wellwood in the bigs, and JVR getting first line minutes in the AHL
