Well Saturday is sure to be a disaster, they love to fall right apart on HNIC. Why is it the ****** players (Gomez) never seem to get hurt but Markov takes a bump on the leg and is gone for the season? What kind of ******** is that?
For some reason i had the feeling the Habs would lose last night. They spent a lot of energy against the Flyers tuesday and you could see that the boys were a bit flat and that the execution was a bit off. They still worked hard for a part of the game but unfortunately the results didn't come. Rinne was also pretty sharp for the Preds.
I'm not really worried though. Should get back to the winning path against the Leafs saturday.
Pouliot, Eller, Darche....any of them could not do worse than Lappy has done on that line. They all have more offensive abilty that Lappy does. I like Lappys grit and speed but he is not a good fit for the first two lines.
Nashville's goalie played well, it happens...Price played very well also, the 3rd goal looked suspect, but the guy shot it through Gorges, and picked the top corner...oh well, next the Leafs, hopefully the boys will score a bunch on Saturday...

The Halpern line hasn't doine much in a few games...time to try Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta again.
Had to lose one sooner or later would rather it be this one. Eller was a beast, and price was good again(minus the 3rd goal not as bad as some make it out to be though but 2-0, 3-0 no difference). Hopefully a better effort on saturday.
Habs lost one game in two weeks!!!
The sky is falling!
It was not a well played game by anyone really
and the third goal was a stinker
get over it and pump the laughs tomorrow night
The guy picked the top corner through a screen by the d-man...that's hardly a stinker. The d-man should have had a shorter gap instead of backing in and screening his goalie.
I don't get this team, they can play awesome against great teams but total crap against bad ones.
Red Wings fan here who watched the game. Nashville has made the playoffs five times in the last six seasons. That's not exactly the definition of a bad team. The Preds are the Central division team that has given the Red Wings the most difficult time in recent years. In fact this trend started already in 2003-04.
Chicago emerged from the league basement in 2007. They've had a lot more skill than the Preds so the games against the 'Hawks are completely different from the Preds games. Against Nashville, the Red Wings always seem to need a visceral, gut-wrenchingly gritty effort to win. That makes them a great opponent in my eyes!
Yea those team .. I call them the whatever team (Nashville/Columbus/Panthers/Atlanta )
The habs have difficulties against the low profile team for some reason. It's like .. lacking motivation or something.
Just like they always lose to new jersey even though they suck .. You know what i mean?
It's like the *Nobody * showing up when no one give a hell .. I always have a bad feeling about thise team.
You mean that whatever team that made the playoff 5 of the last 6 seasons? Nashville was not a team to be taken lightly ala Panthers/Trashers, you saw why last night.
Can somebody explain to me why they allowed O'Reilly's goal? If they disallow Halpern's goal against the Bruins, they have to do the same with O'Reilly's goal. Oh wait... am I expecting constant decisions from refs and the Toronto war room? Stupid me...
On a positive note, good to see Eller show some skills. Hopefully next game he gets a chance on the second line while Gomez tries to wake up from this pretty powerful dream he's been having since the start of the season.
Halpern clearly kicked it in, he even knew it himself the second he put it in, you can see it in his reaction.
Nashville guy was just braking and it hit his skate, it's a good goal.
I see a couple of ppl being all negative about the loss... why? Not everyone plays perfect every game. Why not give credit to the Preds instead? Rinne was on top of his game and the Preds played pretty well overall. Enjoy the hockey instead of always being so emotional about the results.

just chillax
I have been one of his biggest supporters around these parts
I have taken allot of **** from people over defending Price
that said
I was a saveable shot
wasnt the easiest save but it was still stoppable
not that it mattered much because the Habs were not winning the game anyways
just chillax

Better that it happens then when it means nothing. If it was the second goal it would have been tougher to swallow but just like the jersey game it didnt matter.

Preds played a solid game, tight D system slowed down the pace, they broke up a lot of Habs' passes and shots. RInne was very good.
On the Habs end they coulda used some more clutch, cuz they did have decent chances, but couldn't put anything away.
Losses will happen, sad to see so much blame directed at Gomez. Yes he hasn't been putting up points (Im not thrilled about this since I have him in my pool), but he has been playing OK. I think it's time to end the Lapierre expirement. Lapierre is a good 3rd liner and has some individual skills that let him produce points, but he can't keep up with highly skilled players and produce consistently, which a top 6 player needs to do.
Time to put Pouliot or Eller back on Gomez' wing along with Gionta or Andrei.
