What about a 3way with Drury to LA & Iginla to NYR being the basis?

I'd move the pick. I'd move Frolov too. I wouldn't move Sauer though, despite my respect for Iggy.

Iginla would instantly become our 2nd best forward.

But unless Drury or Rozsival goes in the deal, you can say goodbye to any effort of a UFA center, and likely re-signing Dubsinky long term.

We dont need Gaborik, Iginla, Callahan down the RW bad enough to screw ourselves over.

I'd just as soon they inquire about Connolly.

I just have a bad feeling about this one... I'd rather just stay away. I'm afraid Sather is gonna toss away one of our core players for an aging veteran again.

I think a 3way with Jessica Biel and Adriana Lima is more realistic than the scenario you posted.

Why would LA trade for Drury?

I'd rather have Dubinsky at less than 2 mil than Iginla at 7 mil.

[QUOTE=johnnydollaz89;29062105]ill take Iginla over any forward we have right now except Gaborik[/QUOTE

true but.....

He's 33, a 7 mil cap hit for the next 3 years, and who's going to feed the puck the puck to him and Gaborik?

I assume that Calgary believes that they are going nowhere and the optimal time to move iginla is while he still appears on the top of his game. The odds are that His production will start to decline in the next few years but as
of right now commands considerable trade value.

The question is... how much is anyone prepared to give up? Too little and he stays in Calgary. For the Rangers how much youth are they prepared to part with?

incarcerated Bob is a joke...I cursed him out on Twitter because of some stupid non-sense he gave about the Knicks and Jets. He is a hack that just stirs rumors to gain recognition. He does not do this for an actual living...But just seem like he is important

Sutter might have asked Glen to be in the mix for LA to sweeten the deal

^ thank goodness you are not serious. I still can't see this happening. Any trade we send them would have to include Roszival to make cap space who obviously is not enough. Even if you throw in a mandatory 1st round pick, you're at least another good roster player and high end prospect away.

IF IF IF, Roszival, EC, 1st + a prospect did the job, what level of prospect do you think it would take to pull off that deal. Who would you deal? who wouldn't you deal? do you think that player is enough? For example, would be willing to deal McD to get Iginla for two seasons skating with Gaborik?

edit: lolz, Iginla with a hat trick tonight.

I wouldn't trade our first alone for Iginla. There's no point. He won't make us contenders. We need our picks/prospects, not aging wingers.

Just to play Devil's advocate, I think you need to be realistic about how much longer he can keep it up. At very least, it's fair to ask whether he's going to be able to perform at a $7M level through 2014.

A hat trick in a blowout victory against the reigning champs last night does punch a hole or 2 in the "over the hill" theory though.

That doesn't matter, though, considering they've been below-average this year.

And Turco is a terrible goalie.

This is a cap world. Dubinsky, Callahan and Boyle are at least matching or bettering his production and combined they still don't make as much. Not a knock on his talent, but there is a lot I wouldn't trade for him. It just a reflection of his contract which is still a reality.
