We are going to need a huge game from Theodore and some of the under-achieving defense men. Barker needs to be a threat from the point. He has a huge shot, we need to park bodies in front of Howard and let Zidlicky, Burns, and Barker rip shots. Also our forecheck on Lindstrom and Rafalski is going to be huge and of course staying out of the box. I have a feeling we are going to try and be overly physical with Detroit and we are going to march to the penalty box all night.

Is clutterstache back up and running properly? last game he hardly (if any) hit anyone or got physical. games at detroit always seem to be such a struggle, predicting 2-0 wild loss, defense iffy and too many penalties.

I don't think the Clutter is back to 100% yet. I'm not sure if you saw the game against Florida, but at the end during the whole Brent Burns butt-end incident Bryan Allen destroyed Clutter from behind with a huge cross check. Shocked Allen wasn't suspended. It will probably be a few games before he is back to hitting everything in his path.

Per Russo, the Wild is 4-13-1 in Detroit.

I'm going to give this one to Detroit, they win 3-2, and I say that knowing I'll be watching the game with a rabid Wings fan tonight.

4-2 Wild

Jose puts on a show.

Koivu(pp), Havlat, Wellman, Clutterbuck(empty Netter) with the goals.

...well that's what I want to happen at least.

i've already psychologically prepared myself for a puck possession beatdown in our own end.

I think this is the most likely scenario, luckily, I'll be at work until 10 so I can either skip the whole game or watch a good one.

Having won the previous two games, if we lose tonight that proves that we are a better team without Burns than we are with him.

i wouldn't count wins against an injury ridden tampa team and a tired Anaheim team playing the second night of back to backs as real good wins. If we win with Theodore in net tonight are we a better team without Backstrom? I think your out of your mind if you think this team can lose burns. He is so vital to our team with his D play and leadership.

Nah, Detroit's (a) hockey town. They understand the game and unlike Anaheim, I don't think Detroit's fanbase is so whiny that they actually complain about the opposing team's play when theirs loses. I mean, we're not perfect, but at least we ***** and moan about our own team.

Prediction - 4-2 Detroit.

Detroit - Datsyuk folds Jose in half like he did to Vokoun. Franzen gets a clean-up goal. Cleary scores. Zetterberg gets 2 assists. Helm, Stuart, Rafalski or Kronwall get the last goal.

Minnesota - Cullen scores. Madden or Mittens gets the 2nd goal.

And don't say anything about how I predicted 4 possible players for 1 goal. I'm indecisive today.

WOW. Whoever started calling Miettinen "Mittens" on this board has their claim to fame. Wild.com are now referring to him as "Mittens"! Congratulations. It's like being the guy to coin "pwn". You anonymous sir, are immortal!

Edit: First triple post ever. Won't ever happen again. Gopher and I must be in an exclusive club

My brother is a diehard wings fan so we will be watching this one together. Should be a wide open game. The wings are about to get Burns'ed. Wild win 6-5.

I'm not complaining about any of the mods or their doings. The Anaheim Ducks and their fans, sure, but I don't know why they'd be reading this anyway.

I'm having a hard time adapting to forums like this, the only other two forums I post on really don't have a lot of rules, so I've grown extremely acustom to that. I enjoy posting here but I really don't understand how they can allow something like that to happen.
I had some trouble there too... It seemed as though responding to an attack with an attack makes you guilty first.

By and large, I thoroughly enjoy the Wild forums here, but I VERY seldom venture elsewhere. Maybe I was spoiled by the old official boards, where it was basically mob rule, but the rules here seem a bit... awkward? I'm not exactly sure I'm explaining myself properly, but hopefully the point is getting through.

In any case... I'm just hoping we don't get blown out tonight. If we can keep it close, I'll be happy. If we can win, I'll be overjoyed.
