11/15/10: Kings 3 @ Sharks 6 LOSS

Horrible in our own zone today, one positive is the 2nd line with Williams, Stoll, and Smyth. Other than that, I thought Bernier played average, I would have thought Quick could have stopped a couple of those goals just due to Quick's playing style. Can't win all of them......

Everyone stunk. It happens. I don't think it'll have a major effect on the season though.

More rebounds than a basketball hoop, and more turnovers than an apple turnover bake contest.

The Sharks came to play and the Kings weren't prepared.

How do you say Stop the Puck in French?

Bernier once again crappy.

Matt Greene along with Bernier single handily handed the Sharks this game.

Terry Murray didn't help either. He fully neutralized the Kopitar line by throwing them against the Thornton Marleau Heatley line. Dont we have a shut down line for that?

I think its time to give Quick a rest when we arnt playing teams that can score 1,000 goals on Bernier.

I'll do it... Quick should have played tonight and give Bernier the Blue Jackets.. I'd like our chances a bit more.

No one had a good game tonight. It happens. When it happens against a team as talented as the Sharks, they make you pay.

Lets not overreact. We're 12-4.

Out hustled, out bodied, out played.

Muzzin is definitely a better fit than Harrold

The Sharks played incredibly well.

Oh well, it was a good streak, let's get back in it on Wednesday

Bad game.

Stupid mistakes. Not clearing the puck. Couple that with the Sharks playing hungry, wanting a win, and having the better goaltender on the night, there wasn't really a chance I saw us winning.

Bernier didn't play terrible, but when you give up six (seven goals if you count the one that would have happened if Smyth didn't score) goals in a game, you can't have no blame. He had some good saves, but he didn't play all that great. Not his fault we lost, but it would have been nice if he could have stepped up his game like Quick has a half of dozen times this season.

Kopitar looked bad. Most of the team looked bad except for our 2nd line + Brown.

If the Kings don't come out with loads of intensity and a hunger to win like the Sharks did tonight when they play the Jackets at home in a day, then I'll be disappointed.

Still, we're 12-4-0, one of the best records in the league, and still one of the best teams in the league. So are the Sharks, and tonight, they had our number.

A loss on Wednesday will be a LOT more angering if we can't get it done at home.

The forwards' defensive play was terrible.

Bernier's rebound control could have been better.

Horrible coverage in front of the net.

No effort in battles along the boards.

Brown and the 2nd line (sparingly) were the only ones trying to create offense.

Doughty is out of shape and took the body when he should have made the smart defensive play too much.

I've got more, but I've just realized that we're all spoiled as far as Kings hockey goes right now. This is probably why I am so frustrated right now; I've forgotten what they used to play like.

Kings are a rock solid team. The Sharks played their best game of the season and you played your #2 goalie. We are happy for the win of course, but its one game in what is going to be a good rivalry.
