I still think the Habs should have something like this as a goal song... Can you imagine how loud it would get if we actually had a song to sing along with as our goal song??? Instead of this vertigo crap!!?

and then even more people would ***** when we sing it without being A) in the lead B) in the final minutes of the game C ) stanley cup finals.
I still think the loreille song was amazing as everyone could chant to it. But that's another can of worms.
Our goal song is so weird. Whenever we score I feel obliged to sing along, but singing out " Hello hello I'm at a place called vertigo" feels weird. I really like the Rangers and Blackhawks songs. Really catchy

yeah, I used to do that aswell when they played the original version from 2005 to 2008.
Of course, the Olé! song has roots in Spanish football; but in the NHL, it's become better known as the Habs song. You do know that, right?
Sort of like how "To Anacreon in Heaven" is a British drinking song, but in the United States it's become better known as The Star Spangled Banner.

Really, you gotta be kidding me, the Ole, Ole song has always been used by the HABS fans. I mean it's THEIR thing & Atlanta can't think of their own song to use, wow that's lame.

But yeah, I like this song. Streets ahead of the crap we've had for the last 6 years.

Yup most fans I know liked the old "Wooah-Wooah-Woah" goal song better than Vertigo. Plus the W-W-W song was Made in Québec... (which brings an idea, maybe one of the more language-obsessed QC journalists could lobby for a change, on that angle, I mean, Vertigo has all-English lyrics, the W-W-W song is "neutral"...)
Since Habs' management have started fan voting for the three stars, it seems they want fans more involved, a campaign for a new goal song might get a reaction? Of course I care more about goals than the friggin' song, but maybe someone could make a poll, what would you like as a goal song: 1) Vertigo 2) W-W-W 3) Other...
we had the simple plan song that was also made in quebec.
what an epic fail that was. there's been petitions going around the interwebs regarding this particular topic (L'oreille as goal song) since forever, but I guess those never really materialize, despite the # of people signing it.
