I don’t think the penalties were of the same nature as the last couple games. I don’t know if they were just ‘hockey penalties.’ Some of them, I don’t know if they were even penalties. But we’ve got to bear down on the PK. We’ve been doing a good job all year. We’ve got to continue to. It’s been sliding the last couple games. We’ve just got to get back to it."

I thought we didn’t play as well, but we stuck with it. It’s a tough game, back to back, three in four, but I thought in the first two periods we were moving good. In the third, they came out hard, but I thought the guys stuck to it. We stuck to the system and it’s huge. I think this two points is huge for us right now."

It’s easier when you go later, I think. Kopi always goes first, and it’s the toughest thing, I think, to go first, because you don’t really know. After watching five times, you pretty much know what is his tendency, and I think it’s a little bit easier when you go later."

You need the goalie to have stole the game, and he stole it for us."

We never gave up. They did come back and tie the game up, but everyone was still on their toes. No one was down. Everyone was still focused on trying to win the game and doing all the little things right to win the game, and we did.Obviously there are mistakes there that I need to clean up. Every game, you’re going to make mistakes. I was fortunate that it wasn’t too many mistakes that we couldn’t battle back from. I’m glad glad to get the two points. It’s a long time coming. Like Zeus said, it was the first adversity that we faced all year, and I think we battled hard and we deserved two points."

They do a lot of good things. They’ve got depth, they’ve got balance, and they showed it in the third period. Quick was the answer for us. He played extremely well, made some huge stops out there. There was a lot of pressure from the Bruins, but we hung in and finally got it in the shootout."

- Next HOME Game -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

I hope King's experiment w/ King on the 1st line is over. Call up a guy with at least a little bit of offensive know-how. Unless you bench Kevin Westgarth, Dwight King has no place on this team right now.

And they are going to be pissed. They have lost three in a row and have been out scored 17-4. Ouch.

Go easy on us, wouldja? We need a break. A couple notes;

Apparently Erik Karlsson is sick and is doubtful for tonight's game. David Hale will probably sub in for him.

The practice lines were

Kelly-Spezza-Alfredsson
Michalek-Regin-Kovalev
Foligno-Fisher-Shannon
Ruutu-Winchester-Neil

Which are incredibly bizarre, and seems like Clouston just threw darts at a dart board to decide them. None of these lines have played together before.

LOL wtf??? These lines are so awkward, why would he split up the Ruutu-Kelly-Neil line? Everyone was raving about that line over here for weeks lol

They've slowed down a lot, but they're still probably our best line.

The whole team just kinda sucks right now. I can't point to a single player that has actually played well for the last few games.

I wouldn't worry about that. Teams have come ready to play against LA the last few games and it hasn't been pretty on our end. I don't see why it'll be any different tonight.

Kings catch a break if Karlsson is unable to go, he is an excellent young puck moving defenseman.

Foligno-Fisher-Shannon were great together last season and the 4th line has played together at times this year. Not sure why you are saying they never played together.

I'm talking about this season. Its completely off the board compared to most of what we've seen this year. It's seems like Clouston is trying to spread the scoring out and create three scoring lines.

And I don't remember Ruutu - Winchester - Neil, when did that happen?

Following Saturday's inconsistent performance by goalie Jonathan Quick, head coach Terry Murray was asked whether he would rethink his plan in which he had Quick penciled in as the regular starter and backup Jonathan Bernier filling in for about one start a week.
