We would be playing Mini next, so that should be an easier game for a goalie to handle. I wouldn't mind see him get another start, and let Bobo relax some more, or get used to sitting behind another goalie while they're on a streak.

Lucky on Leighton yes. But Gagne? He is always injured.

Ranger fan here, I come in peace. Any reason why the Flyers decide to use perhaps the dirtiest twine in the league? It doesn't make a difference really but when you always see pristine bleached nets this is out of the ordinary.

Only one of those three teams that are relevant in regards to us at the moment is Pittsburgh. What's more important is that we gained two on Washington and Montreal.

I posted it a few moments ago but this is from CSN:

Quote:
Last Thursday against Tampa Bay, a puck went completely through the back of the net at the north end of the building. The NHL asked the Flyers to send them the nets for examination. As a result, the dirty, older practice nets which don’t have cameras in them were used for the game. Flyers officials expect to have their newer nets back in time for Black Friday’s matinee against Calgary.

I'd say we should watch out for the Rangers as well. Point taken in regard to NJ though

Quite the satisfying explanation, I had a feeling that was the reasoning.

It's highway robbery how these nets are hundreds of dollars. It's string.

NJD will likely start winning soon though. a lot of talent on that team. We were pretty bad early last year, and we snuck into the playoffs

They have to play at like a 107 point season pace to make the playoffs. Last year, we barely got in and it only took 88 points to get in. Usually you need at least 90+ to get in.

Ah, yes, but it is increasingly difficult in today's times to find 1000 vestal virgins to wave them together. The NHL is attempting to fix this problem by establishing 13 year old sweat shops along the Great Lakes, but unfortunately even 13 year old virgin girls realize their rarity and their union is asking for ridiculous wage increases. This will, no doubt, be a hot button topic at the next CBA negotiating hearing.

I hate that phrase "anything can happen". Anything can happen, but that doesn't mean it's realistic or you should get your hopes up. I could get hit by lightning, but I'm not expecting it.

I'm not saying the likelihood of NJ making the playoffs is the same as being hit by lightning, but the point is that it's not something you should expect at this point.

Besides, this is one win over another slumping team. Nothing to get excited over.
