Yeah I think finally White is gone. Its a huge upgrade replacing him with Drury. We should be able to have 4 solid lines now.

Drury returns. Bye bye White. 14 forwards. Boogaard and Prospal are injured. 12 healthy forwards. If you need another forward until Boogaard and/or Prospal are healthy,Dale Weise is healthy. Put him on the NY to Hartford shuttle.

yea not looking at the cap he is going to be a useful piece

I would slide him between Boyle and Prust. Going to be interesting to see what happens but I think that line would do well.

Avery, Christensen, Frolov has some potential to put up points on the 4th line.

I still can't believe Fedotenko is on the first line but whatever he works hard and Stepan has a nice streak going

Please just keep the pack line together for the year already.

Yes! Drury is back, bye White!

Fedotenko - Stepan - Gaborik
Dubinsky - Anisimov - Callahan
Frolov - Drury - Boyle
Avery - Christensen - Prust

Or something like that, please.

Frolov has been playing much better and should replace Feds on the top line. All I ever see is Feds getting knocked down in the corners c

Have to disagree with that. Feds forechecking has been A+ pretty much the entire season. Frolov has done nothing to earn more minutes, save for the last game where every Ranger (except White, LOL) deserved more time.

Probably not by wednsday, but I would consider;
Drury-Stepan-Gabby
Dubi-AA-Callahan
Frolov-Boyle-Prust/Feds
Avery-EC-Fedetenko/Prust
in the near future.

Just to get some "center" backup for Stepan, and not because I don't think Fedetenko have done a good job in that position really. But if Drury could find a role on that line, and use his strengths, we could get a potentially more steady 1st line. Drury could step in for defensive FO's late in games et c.

Forget the ? you see Feds getting knocked down but at least you see him doing something, what have you seen out of slo/blo-lov. Frolov has done absolutely nothing to warrant more ice time, and neither should be on the first line.

Frolov's natural talent level (although non-existent in this season), is more of a reason to justify playing him over Fedotenko on the top line.

At this point, until Prospal gets back, the Rangers should be "winging it," meaning, whomever is playing best should get time on the line. Feds hasn't warranted more playing time with our offensive powerhouse. Avery had played well in the previous game. Not sure why he was taken off. BAR line has played well again, but I'd give Dubinsky a shot or even Drury a shot before Feds.

And I never thought I'd say this but:

Welcome back Drury. Thank you for returning and allowing us to remove that horrendous "player" Todd White.

Drury in--White out--should make us a better team. The Rangers have depth throughout 4 lines and I wouldn't lean on Drury too hard until he gets back in the groove. He's missed practically 2 and a half months. Hopefully faceoffs and pk gets better. I don't know if it will add a lot of goals--offensively I don't expect him to be a major contributor--more along the lines of what we get from Fedetenko or Christensen. Considering that White is just about history--it's addition by subtraction anyway.

Drury is back?

Well there goes the team identity we had.

Back to the no personality team showed by the captain.

came on here to post a nearly identical lineup

i agree its probablly not a great idea to start off that way, but i'd love to see it

personally...i'd put frolov back on the 4th and role with a Feds - Boyle - Prust as the 3rd line

end result:

Drury-Stepan-Gabby
Dubi-AA-Callahan
Feds-Boyle-Prust
Frolov-EC-Avery

i'd argue that the team has been playing textbook chris drury hockey in his absence

hard work, forechecking, blocking shots, solid defense, and a lack of consistant finishing skill

I just think the kids have taken the team over, especially Staal, Dubi and Cally. It's their team now, I love where the team is going and Drury has been nothing but a unmotivated leader IMO for years. Sure he blocks shots very, very well, thats about all he brings to the table.

O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up--for you the flag is flung for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Frolov has been playing much better lately. He's been finishing his checks and playing a good all around game. He is much better in the corners than Feds and more skilled in general.

How many games does he play before taking another one for the team?

On a side note,... Our PK leads the league in shorties, inpart due to his absence. (No speed)
