Sorry, but this is pretty low on the list of things people want to tell Steigy.

Yeah I think you'll have to tell every Pens fan in Pittsburgh that, too. And that's just not worth it.

LOL
Its funny but its true that is really low on the list of things Steigy needs to be informed of.
Why dont we just keep this thread around Jer Flip and use it after/during every game.

"Someone please inform Steigy that..."
That joke was offensive.
Your calling the wrong player again.
That nickname is offensive.
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

I'm interested in finding out about who this new Scottish defenseman the Pens got is…Think his name is "McCallick".

You can put me down on that list. This thread just spells out a rant on my behalf at some point. Can't stand listening to these 2 clowns night-in and night-out. I'm pretty sure Errey's just drunk most of the time. Now granted Lange would also be drunk most of the time, but at least it's a voice we can appreciate. Several years later and I still maintain that Lange and Bourque should be the ones doing television broadcasts.

He's probably saying it because Errey calls him it and Sid called him that in an interview. He just wants to be part of the cool kids.

Tell Errey to not say "Steigy" more than 3 times per sentence.

Tell Steigy to watch Kings broadcasts to see how a real play-by-play guy (Bob Miller) operates.

He probably calls him "Talbo" because Errey does, who probably calls him "Talbo" because it's his nickname.

As for the "Bieska" thing though, yeah, that was pretty annoying. I could understand calling him that a couple times early in the game, but you would think by the third period someone would have corrected him. Guess not.

He actually used three wrong pronunciations in one game.

Bieska
Bieski

and one other one I've blocked out like a bad war memory.

These two tool-bags are gunning for bottom 5 announcer duos in the NHL status.

You are so right on this one!! Spent 13 years of my life in SoCal and they are probably my favorite team to follow not from Pittsburgh. Miller is hands down my favorite to listen to. CI is a great thing!!

I like when Errey used to call Christensen "Christian," as if he couldn't be bothered to say it right lol.

As a matter of fact, it is..

For instance, how do you pronounce "abricot"?

Not necessarily. It can also be pronounced "Tal-BUTT". In this case, it's Tal-BUTT.

Why does Errey call him "Steigy" anyway ? Is that his real nickname ?

If Tony Siragusa can figure out how to stop calling Daryl Johnston "Moose" every 2 seconds, I am sure Errey can call "Steigy" Paul every now and then.

Oh, I know "Tal-butt" is perfectly fine.
But if you ask any french to pronounce the name he will most likely say "talbo".(at least, that's the way we call the former automobile brand ->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talbot)
No big deal, I prefer the "Tal-butt" version anyway.
