I'm probably a little crazy, but I liked Mike Comrie for the short time he was here. Not really upset he didn't pan out, but for some reason I liked what I saw there.
I'm taking liberties with this but Rick MacLeish after being reacquired. He was signed as a FA near the end of his career then was traded about three months after rejoining the team.

Hamhuis
"for some reason I liked what I saw there" I think that was his then girlfriend!
Jaroslov Modr...yea just kidding. Although I thought he would benefit the team and settle our defense down, he ended up being slowdry and made horrible turnovers.
Does Tony Amonte being with the team for 1.5 years and an amazing playoff run count, or is that too long? Amonte-Roenick-Zhamnov formed the Blackhawk Down Line in 04.
I always thought Mark Greig would make it, but he just could never make the jump.
By the time the Flyers acquired him, Greig was in his 9th professional season and it was well established that he was a bust (15th overall draft pick). He was acquired to be a veteran scorer/leader for the Phantoms or a injury callup.

Your were pumped when they acquired a 12 year pro who played in a grand total of 114 NHL games in 12 seasons?

Litts is just an amazing situation. He literally has spent his entire professional career with the Flyers organization with the exception of 1 year when he played in Finland. Pretty darn amazing for an 11th round draft pick who played a grand total of 93 minutes in the NHL. That said a very good AHL goalie, but definitely didn't have the talent or head to play in the NHL.

JR. I know he was here longer then the thread asks for but I was really sad to see him go even though it meant the Flyers acquired my all-time favorite player in Forsberg. With that said Forsberg is another player i was sad to see go. I wanted him to retire a flyer and lead us to a Cup win.

I liked Grieg well before we had him, and always thought he was 3rd line material but I guess not.
As for Skalde it was more because of knowing him that I was excited and was hoping he would get a chance to contribute at the NHL level.
The OP wasn't looking for guys who we were sure would be the hall of fame, just guys we liked who had short stints. He is a guy I liked that had a short stint. He's a pretty good coach now too.
