Yeah, and nothing against Desharnais, Maxwell and Trotter last year, but it's such a breath of fresh air that the kind of guy we really need (a big bodied forward) is one of, or even THE best player on the team right now. I'm almost more excited about his year than that of the Habs, lol.

and Plekanec, Subban, Price and Gorges. Our depth of young players has grown fast. Eller, Pouliot and Subban weren't here before last season and Price wasn't playing at this standard consistently. What a difference a year makes. Add Palushaj and Tinordi in a few years with Pyatt and White, this team is very well rounded

In the future perhaps. Don't forget Kristo, Leblanc, Avstin and so on that are on the way. If they pan out, what a dynamic team. Maxwell/DD are anybody's guess these days. I do feel maxwell can be a 3rd line center in this league but who knows, he needs to put up more points or any points at NHL level but you know, should be interesting how this team progresses in next few years.

I actually think that could be a very good line next year.

Kostitsyn Plekanec Cammalleri (I still think this would be our best line)
????? Gomez Gionta (Still missing a top 6 winger)
Pouliot Eller Pacioretty (Would be a big, young line with loads of potential)
Lapierre White Pyatt
(Halpern)

Halpern or White as extra forwards.

If we ever do find that missing top 6 forward, our offensive potential would be fantastic.

As long as AK keeps playing like he has to date I think he'll definitely be back, they need his size, physical game and finish in the top 6.

You are missing Moen who I would have with Halpern and Pyatt/White/Lapierre(depending on 2nd and 3rd line wing situations.

Pouliot should be a top 6 guy.

Lapierre Eller and Pacioretty would be a good 3rd offensive line as #3/4.

If Halpern re signs he would never be an extra forward, he's more valuable than half those guys you have listed as he contributes on PK, faceoffs plus defensive match ups. Guys like him play 13-16 minutes a night.

I can see a UFA winger added...the calibre/cost of which would be determined once the defense was restructured with Gill, Markov, Hamrlik being UFA's and Picard and Gorges being RFA's. I think what happens there will have a major effect on possibly adding a veteran winger...it could be a high end one(UFA/trade) making 4-5 mil or a low end reclamation project/last minute addition(Afinogenov/Halpern/Tanguay etc) for 600-1.5 mil.
