I posted this in the GDT but I'll post it here as well.

I only watched the first period, but seriously Dwight King is the least of this team's concerns. There are so many areas urgently in need of FOCUS and EXECUTION. Trading for a left wing won't change that, getting Poni and Mitchell back won't change that. This team needs to collectively get their heads out of their ***** and play the way they are supposed to.

Don't want to comment on the game really. What I must ask is PP has problems so they remove the one guy who was producing and 1st in PP points on the team from the first unit (J. Johnson)? It worked out for the best and his shot led to a goal by Martinez but seriously wtf.

Pros:

Justin Williams is great

Martinez looks to be a good defenseman with offensive flair

Simmonds worked his ass off

Cons:

Bernier can't beat a screen to save his life and gives up too many rebounds for a guy who is supposed to control the net better.

Dwight King needs to go away forever and never poke his head on my television screen again.

Well, and basically the whole team looked lazy, bored, and not motivated after going down 0-1

Murray. You're stupid for your line decisions.

I'm starting to not care anymore, their effort has been pathetic.

The Kings are not as good as I thought they were.

You know, I can take losses like this, especially considering how well Montreal played. But it's a lot easier to take when I feel the club is icing a team made up of the best players available in the organization, And I just don't think they're doing that.

Come home, boys.

TM is in his third season here and he makes baffling roster and line decisions.

Dean Lombardi is in his fifth season and we have a serious hole on the #1 line.

Having watched all five games King has played, I can tell you he is a main problem.

How is your first line having the worst player on your team currently NOT a concern?

You look for your 1st line to be your go-to line. Down one goal? You look to your first line to start the comeback. King is slow, doesn't cycle well, and has shown no ability to shoot the puck. He is also lazy in the defensive zone and doesn't know how to carry the puck into the offensive zone. He's a dead weight.

Not saying if he leaves that everything will be fixed. We have other problems, but the 1st line having an anchor is a hole we need to fix quickly.

I'm kind of happy we didn't sign Kovalchuk, he wouldn't have worked in Terry Murray's system. Look at how Jeff Halpern is playing, look at Matt Moulson and Teddy Purcell, these guys excel in other systems

So how many more games are we without Mitchell? 4-5? So we're going to be 13-12-0 before he comes back... Nice!

Dear Mr. Anschutz,

Fire Kompon and Murray.
And don't forget to give Lombardi a time frame to get a left wing in.
I don't want another 5 year plan to get a left winger.

Even the Hot Dog sales man from section 319 would be an upgrade.
Or just trade them.Dwight King' s speed would be a perfect match for the Hot Dog stand in that section.

I said this in the other thread and I'll say it again, Moller was a healthy scratch tonight, I hate to speculate but it must mean something, especially since he's been putting up points lately, it doesn't make sense to just make him a healthy scratch out of nowhere

Who ****ing cares. Jesus. When are people going move on and stop *****ing about players that aren't on the team anymore.

Kings fans have enough crap to complain about with their own team.

... Certainly the injuries seriously affected the structure of the team, they had Mitchell on the first pairing and Parse on the first line before they got hurt, and Ponikarovsky was second forward on the PK behind Handzus when he went down. They weren't and aren't indispensable players, but taken together, they comprised a lot of the structure that this team wanted to go with.

Now guys are being shuttled in and out everywhere, there is no consistency or structure, and what I see being a major issue is that guys are unfamiliar with one another in game situations and the communication isn't there. That's why you see guys not getting the puck expeditiously out of the defensive zone, why passes along the boards go to nobody, why guys are getting caught offside on a rush, why guys are checking the wrong men and are late establishing their defensive positions, seemingly a step slow; a step behind.

When Mitchell and Ponikarovsky come back, they will obviously be able to help the club right away to a certain degree. But it remains to be seen whether the structure and the familiarity with one another will come back right away.

All of our talentd players excel on other teams.

That means we are drafting the wrong players or the coach is an idiot.............
it's your choice

... Thought the Kings played well enough to have a 2-2 trip, and I would have gladly taken that. They just got hosed in the Ottawa game, and that happens. Life isn't fair.

I'm glad there is no ref to blame for this one. The Kings just got their ***** beat from start to finish by a flat out better team. Dwight King looks like a 9-11 terrorist but those guys were better skaters than he is.
