He's a nice player, but Philly doesn't have a need for Clutterbuck, therefore they wouldn't give up anything approaching his value. Philly wouldn't move Carle for him.
The Flyers look really good. They're deep. They're clicking. That means they aren't looking to shake things up. Only players I could see them moving are Zherdev, Carcillo, Walker, Boucher, or Leighton. And they won't get back much for any of those guys, unless someone happens to be interested in two or three of them.
Clutterbuck is a great player that i doubt Minny gets rid of...May want to sweeten the pot more and add van Riemsdyk.
Not sure if you were being serious there...
That said, I'd say it's a good deal value-wise. Flyers would need to add though because of how valuable Clutterbuck has become to Minny, and I doubt they would do that.
Philly is looking great right now, no need for them to shake anything up. They don't really need a guy like Clutterbuck anyway, He would definitely look great as big body playing on a line with Giroux and Carter though
Just watched Flyers vs. Wild. Philly would love to have a guy like Clutterbuck. That guy is the best player in Minnesota. 12 hits, 6 attempted shots, everytime he was on the ice he caused a Flyer turnover. It wouldn't matter if he didn't add any offense. His on ice presence is enough, but he also leads the team with 7 goals. And he's signed for the next 3 seasons at 1.4 million.
If the Flyers wanted him they'd have to give up a real player not just some of the spare parts.
It would take a big overpayment to get him out. Minnesota also isn't in the market to trade away its young forwards, especially fan favorite buttercup. If anything, I think the best bet to acquiring him would be in a package deal of some sort.
