dramatizing? you're funny. you see what happens (see last night) when the top line gets shut down. we don't always win. it's a major problem moving forward...and a smart gm doesn't wait till a losing streak kicks in to address it because then, other teams are ready to fleece you
You think we lost yesterday because our top line didn't show up?..
We lost last night because NOBODY showed up. Allowing close to 50 shots versus an average team at best is more than just the story of one line not showing up. The whole team played like crap. From top to bottom.
What happens to Pittsburgh when their top line doesn't show up?..Pittsburgh?..Detroit?..Shall I continue??..
You haven't made this incredible discovery when claiming that chances are we'll lose when our top line or goaltender doesn't show up. It's the same on pretty much every team.
Why should we suddenly enter long losing streaks??...There's a reason why we always bounce back from losses. We have a good team and we're playing well. We're not gonna start stinking it up all of a sudden.
Like I said, we're about 1 top 6 player away from having a really strong team. Adding that player that will make our 2nd line more productive would set us up there with teams like the Flyers in terms of depth. We're talking about arguably the best team in the NHL. So like I said, stop dramatizing, we have a great team.
God Martin has found a way to make games low scoring in the new NHL. We either win or lose 3-0. Our games have an average of 4 goals this year combined between two teams. It's like watching the 98-99 Sens, only less soft and a bit more entertaining. We're singlehandedly dragging down the league's GPG avg., LOL. Price is having a streak much like Huet did in 2006 (with Gainey, the defensive mastermind at the helm) only he's 23 and not a career backup of 29 years old. Much healthier sign!
