How quickly we forget that Howard had an absolute monster postseason last year.

Still though, amazing how unclutch the team was in this series, I mean, our batting average with RISP must have been around .100.

EDIT: I still can't really get angry at these guys though, 2008 is still too fresh, just feel bad for Doc.

For 25 million dollars a season, I could strike out as much as Howard, probably better.

From here on out, GO RANGERS!!!

That was a strike on Jimmy Rollins, NOT Ryan Howard.

Aside from that, Placido Polanco wins the biggest disappointment of the postseason award. He tore it up until September but has been nothing but **** since.

He didn't get signed to an absurd contract back then.

I'm fine with them losing as I would kill for the Flyers to have the success that the Phillies have had in recent years. Just kind of depressing how they went out though. It's funny to look back at all the people who thought this would be an easy series though.

Should we start a "TRADE RYAN HOWARD" thread?

You know why they call them H2O?

Because they're washed up.

They went into a slump at the worst possible time and faced a team with great pitching that has been hot since the beginning of September. I'm not surprised they lost, really. It happens.

Winning 97 games is impressive, especially considering all of their injuries. With the talent they have, they'll be back again next year.

Sad to see it end, any predictions on the offseason? (Werth, Oswalt, etc.)?

Funny? You just lost all credibility in my book, because you clearly didn't see that it was our BATTING and FIELDING that lost us that series.

You could say that if Carter scores on that shot against Fleury, the Penguins dont win the Stanley Cup. Howard was an intricate part of the Phillies team in the playoffs the last 2 years.

I wouldn't mind a little heartless Sabremetrics.

The team is old... and some of our superstars haven't been superstars since mid-2009.

one thing i've always hated about sports and always will no matter who's winning, is when the owners and GM's get trophy's before coaches and players, something fundamentally wrong with it IMO...

We don't have money to keep Werth they need to sign a bullpen.

It's a joke, man.

I thought I was among my own in this thread. Can't you give me a pass and let me be miserable and unreasonable?
