Yandle would be ideal for the Leafs, both Kulemin and Yandle could be components to a trade. He'll be a Kaberle replacement.

Other pieces the Leafs would be interested in;

Wolski
Turris
Hanzal
Boedker

love the Yotes, and love Kulemin...but love Toronto a little more, so i hope he stays.

i have ALWAYS pictured Kulemin on a line with Hanzal though...but in a blue and white jersey.

i'm sort of biased as a Coyotes fan, just like i would be in a TO deal as a Leafs fan, so i won't both gauging the value of Kulemin to Phoenix...but someone like Yandle would be nice in TO if Kaberle isn't returning...but they would need a forward coming back.

would they even consider Turris? Wolski? Hanzal?

i don't know.

I'd definitely move Kulemin for Yandle. Sure, it seems like a sideways move, considering we're losing in an area where we lack, but Yandle is a better player overall.

Others the Leafs could have interest in:

Mikkel Boedker + high pick
OEL (Probably too much to ask)

I would do Kulemin for Yandle, but only if we have another trade where we ship out a d man for a forward somewhere else.

As much as I would like to see Yandle moved out of the Pacific Division, there is no way Phoenix makes this trade. Yandle is their top dman now and he is making $1.2M before becoming a RFA next offseason.

There's no way Kulemin alone gets you a 24 yr old top pairing dman playing big minutes on a pretty deep blueline in Phoenix. I don't see the Coyotes wanting to move him at all.

We're just noting who the Leafs could have interest if, in real world, Phoenix would have interest.

I know Phoenix has a bunch of talented forward prospects but they'll be too risky to acquire for sure-fire product in Kulemin, who is still improving.

Turris and Boedker are two intriguing prospects but none are on a tear, in juniors or majors.

surprised this hasn't turned into a massive flame-out at the OP.

Anyways, I hope and pray that he will not be moved. As a leaf fan I'd want at least Hanzal.

it's true...but what kind of assets would you give up for Kulemin, if any?

gotta give to get, and Kulemin will not be had for cheap as he's a fan favourite in TO, and easily our best two-way forward.

he's basically Hanzal but as a winger.

Kulimen is better than hanzal and has much higher potential

I wouldn't say that. Hanzal is still younger and has more size. He's 6'6 and a very capable two-way player.

If offered straight up for Kulemin, I'd take Hanzal. Kulemin might be better now, but Hanzal has the potential to be better.

At the very least I hope you meant to put "Martin Hanzal or Kyle Turris."

The question then becomes what would the Leafs have to add to get both Hanzal and Turris?

Wolski for Kulemin would be fair value. And Wolski could be a decent center too and should be good for 65 points if he plays in a less tight system.

Sorry guys, I could not resist. On topic, Wolski would definitely be an interesting addition. My only concern is I recall him being prone to slumps, which is the last thing Toronto needs. Turris would be nice, although with his lack of size and the abundance of center prospects the Leafs. He may be a bit redundant.

Kessel is prone to slumps too. Toronto needs skill more than anything currently. Preferably skill with a work ethic, but those aren't the players that get traded so just skill will work for now. Turris would be great to have, Toronto is weak down the middle and Turris would be a great addition for the future. I don't know if I'd do it but would something like Bozak and Kulemin for Wolski and Turris be fair value?

if turris can bring that offense he was projected for when he was drafted, im sure the leafs would be ecstatic.
