He played both D and a couple of shifts as a forward on the 4th line in Nashville.

and love how stepan has been put in such a big role at such a young age....regardless of whether he plays as well as id like him to it will give him some huge experience to grow on

I also had no clue torts called the league after the game last time. Can't wait to see how the refs decide to call this one
There are hundreds of different types of flu out there. The flu shot they give you is a weakened virus of whatever they think will be most common during the winter season. That's why people still get the flu after getting a flu-shot, or they just get sick from the shot in general.

Actually, the one shift he played forward, we were scored on.

Pretty sure that regular vaccines actually use a dead virus. The nasal mists use a weakened one...but I'm
just going off what I remember reading at some point

The current flu vaccine is a poison.. seasonal flu, H1N1, and H1N2 all in one fine shot.. no thanks! I never get the flu, just a week-and-a-half pain in the neck cold every Sept and I'm fine for the year.

These players get the flu because they are always run-down. Its no where near the same as what any of us go through(unless someone here is a professional athlete who plays such a hectic schedule).

They give you last year virus in the vaccine.
They do not have this year virus even identified up unil end of Dec. Then you need time to come up with vaccine. By the time all is done it's March. That is when last year H1N1 became widely available.

It is stupid to play through the flu. When you play injured, you can make it worse or even bad. When you play with the flu you can die.

So I guess it's safe to assume that Gaborik won't be in the line up tonight? Henke's task to steal this game just got bigger.

I hope the team can prove me wrong, LGR!

Yes, and a Stomach Virus is very often incorrectly reported as the Flu. In fact most "Stomach Virus" episodes are actually food poisoning.

I haven't read the reports, but has any reporter clarified whether Gaborik has a stomach virus or the actual Influenza virus. They are completely different.

Sorry, it seems this was already covered.

i hope Stepan can play on the level he can talk. should be an interesting game. ill be watching, all the while waiting for the seemingly inevitible colapse. until then,

LGR!!!!

God i hate when they play pittsburgh. i live right outside of harrisburg PA, and have comcast cable. whenever the rangers play the penguins, i can't watch games. The center ice channels get blacked out and there are no local channels that get penguins games. I get flyers games locally. i have to watch six games a year on a damn computer screen. end rant/

Hoping for a hard fought game, keep the pressure up boys. LGR!!

Sorry if posted before. Apparently Torts had a conversation with the snake himself, Colin Campbell, regarding the officiating in the last Pens game. Scroll down a bit.

http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/rangerrants/

We'll see how the officiating goes tonight.

At least they acknowledge they always get BS calls!

Seriously just browsing through their boards and how much they ***** about Rangers and Rangersfans you would think the team hasnt won a game in 4 seasons.

If any one wants a good laugh i suggest reading some of the posts over their.

I do, makes the games more enjoyable.

Welcome.

I would point you towards any thread involving Olli Jokinen, and type in 2 degrees Mike Sillinger as well.

over/under 2.5 more power plays for the Penguins tonight?

Gotta say over...

Thinking PPs: Pens 5, Rangers 2

Welcome to the madhouse!

This is going to be an interesting game tonight. Too bad I'm swamped with papers and projects to actually watch the whole game. LGR!! Oh and to Lundqvist and Dubinsky(In memory of the late Leslie Nielsen)...

I really wish I didn't 100% buy into the Pens bias conspiracy theory, but man is it hard not to. It would be nice if the Rangers could cool these guys off, but I won't be putting any money on it that's for sure.
