I acually like the decision to rest kari tonight..if we lose, its against a non conference team, which isnt the end of the world..and it means Kari gets 5 days rest before 3 very important Western conference games against Minnesota, @ columbus and @ chicago..It looks as though he starts against all 3 western conf teams

2 days rest
raycroft V caps
day rest
Kari V wild
day rest
Kari @ Columbus
day rest
Kari @ chicago
day rest
raycroft V carolina
Kari V Phoenix on second day of back to back..

??

Hate the fact Atdhe's Dallas streams are always down till like the end of the first period.

Caps look like another team that can't handle hitting. There better be a Stars PP to start the 2nd after that mass-jumping of Burish.

Also, those shifts with Petersen/Barch matching up against Ovechkin/Backstrom will surely haunt my dreams.

So the Caps announcers just said that the Stars will get a PP to start the 2nd, FYI.

Niskanen takes a penalty but the Caps still get 2 glorious chances.

Probably should've been a penalty shot, at least going by what the Stars have benefited from earlier this season.

WTF is up with our glass. Richards shoots it through it and now this! This will take a good 15 minutes.

That Benn wrister was tantalizingly deadly but you wish either he or Niskanen could've gotten their bids on frame. Those were Modano specials if I've ever seen them.

Burish and Petersen looked like they'd never seen a point interchange before.

That was an amazing pass by Ribs behind Neuvirth and through the crease, too bad Niskanen wasn't ready to convert.

Ott successfully headfaking Ovechkin was pretty funny.

Man we cannot finish tonight. So many good passes and great chances that our guys just couldn't get into the net. Ribeiro/Morrow both fanned on wide open nets.

My God, we need Larsen so badly.

The Caps' PK is what Crawford promised our PK would be, in terms of aggressiveness.

Let's hope they finally crack this next time...

Scared going into this 3rd with only a one goal lead. You know the refs will give them some make up PPs too.
