Fighting Majors

Rangers lead the League with 25 FM's.I know most of you dont care or like fighting but I love it and I love the fact that we finally have a team that stands up for each other. On a side note,I really wish Cally would have challenged Sid last night after the slew foot fiasco.

DAGOON WHERE YOU AT!!! lol

and seriously i love the attitude of the team this year. There not the most talented and i still don't think there contenders but the way they have stuck up for each other (most of the time) has made me proud.

It also helps to have boogy and prust two of the biggest fighters in the NHL

Cup is ours!

Prust will fight anyone. This is pretty much the reason.

Prust has 10 majors already! Avery and Boogs have 5.

I know Prust never backs down, but I was still surprised to see him drop them with 6'5" Mike Rupp last night. (and if Prust is 6'2" as he's listed, then I'm the starting center for the Knicks)

But for the love of god, can we get him a decent chinstrap or something? That guy loses his helmet within the first few seconds of every fight!

Some guys rather have the helmet loose. Kocur was like that too...He lost his bucket every fight. I think it throws guys off when its too tight and the opponent tries to get it off. It chockes then and can interfere with thier vision where they can't see the punches coming.

I could swear Prust looks like he's 5'10" when he skates. I saw that this season when he was fighting and the announcer mentioned his height. I was like "what the ****". There's no freaking way. He fights like a heavyweight.

I love Prust. I respect his game even though he doesn't score. The dude knows his role, and I love how he doesn't give a **** who it is, he'll fight 'im.

Prust is like 6' 180. He's not very big out there. I was a little nervous when he took on Rupp, just because of the huge size disadvantage. But Prust is pretty skilled and did well against a guy that much bigger. It helps that Rupp is a terrible fighter and relies mainly on size and strength.

Would rather see the rematch vs Godard. Godard beat him already once

Brandon Prust is 5'11".

Who has him listed at 6'2"? The Rangers official site? My God have they gotten bad lately at adding inches if that's true.

In response to the OP's desire to see Callahan fight Crosby last night:

Avalanche forward Chris Stewart, who leads the team with 11 goals and 66 shots on goal, is scheduled to have surgery this week to repair the broken left hand he suffered in a fight with Minnesota's Kyle Brodziak on Saturday night.

I cant believe they intentionally put down incorrect player heights. This isn't a bunch of high school guys measuring their organs!

But yeah, prust loves to fight, he isn't the kind of guy you would want to insult at the bus stop!

I love Prust. He is really one of the best pound for pound fighters in the league in my opinion. I am amazed that he is able to fight as consistently as he does considering how aggressive he is in his fights. He doesn't just hug guys to death. His technique is really good.

He trains for every off season. He has worked on his left this past summer so that he can switch hands.

The "majority" on this board for this team may not like fighting, but it still gets the fans out of there seats, and at the games I go too I don't hear anyone complaining about two guys squaring off a center ice.

I love a good scrap in hockey. Its still in permitted in the game, and I'll always enjoy it. That will NEVER change.
