I can speak for my Leafs TV with Cogeco.
It runs programing all day in low def and a second channel shows the live games they carry in HD.

I have NHL Center Ice and they were playing the Leafs TV feed (not HD).

I don't know if it was the same for anyone else....but that was the worst ****ing video quality I have ever seen. I honestly could not read the numbers on the players jerseys. I've seen footage from the 60's that was better quality than tonight's broadcast.

It was like they were broadcasting with a 9600 baud modem.

What garbage.

People are always complaining about the quality, but Leafs TV HD is perfectly fine for me. Just wish they aired a better team.

Every Leafs TV game is broadcast in HD, except for a few times, such as in the preseason and the occasional time they are in a city without the capability on a given night.

Center Ice may not broadcast it in HD but my understanding is that is a provider specific issue.

When I signed up today for LEafs TV (ill cancel at end of month after the two Oiler games) Bell told me the Leafs TV HD channel

So its definately does run HD on some carriers

I have Center Ice for Oiler games, never seen it in HD.
Im on Bell

HOWEVER, I get Gamecenter free with my Bell Center Ice subscription and those games most definately are in HD on computer.

Watching a team fail miserably was never easier on the eyes.

Maybe the Leafs are playing in low def, that might be their problem

Bell carries the channel for anyone in both SD and HD, but the HD signal is only on-air when leafs games are airing.

If you live outside the Toronto area you will be blacked out for the game but can watch it on CentreIce(if you have that subscription). These blackouts work the same with the other providers too.

just an FYI, CenterIce will be in free preview again from December 6-13th!

It was broadcast in HD, Rogers has a new system in place, if you have the HD channel it gets pushed to you even though you may have tuned into a non HD channel.
