Yeah I feel bad for Bart, but the D is doing so well.
Do you think he can fit in next season when O'Donnell is gone (if he isn't re-signed)? I'm sure Gustafsson could break the top 6/7 next season if you ask me.

Yes they are, however i would like to see odonnel sit for a game or 2 to keep him fresh and get bart some work. wouldnt mind at some point kimmo and pronger getting a game off here and there as well. That is highly doubtful though.

Yeah next time O'D has a rough game I would give him a rest

Curious, after this season is over, and more than likely when Zherdev and Carcillo are gone, do you think Legein and Wellwood would come up to replace them?

Wellwood?
Unless something goes horribly amiss, I'm penciling him in early for next year's roster.

Legein?
Doubtful. The man's name is Shelley.
Just like you did Maroon. Wellwood has played 3 games, count em 3 games and you want to pencil him in to be a regular next year. Good sample size to base it on. Your amazing Cliff. Then again thats your opinion. Then again you think your opinion is fact right Cliff? He didnt look out of place no doubt and is a solid prospect. He has played good for the phantoms. Not great. Not to the poitn where he is wowing people. He is not a lock by anymeans to secure a spot next year. Unless something goes horribly amiss. Does that include the possibility that he wont be good enough? Not in Cliffs world.
ya sorry, but Wellwood has to play more than 3 games for me to actually think he will be a regular in the NHL, especially next season
I have literally no expectations, but we have no better options right now with basically no money to spend after re-upping Leino, which I assume will eventually happen.
If the cap increases, it may not come to that, but Wellwood has demonstrated he can play effectively for at least 3 games.
If he demonstrates that he may be ready through the rest of the year and in summer camps, I see absolutely no issue with it.
Right now, without any better option, I'm pencilling him. Try not to overreact.

If the cap goes up again like has been suggested recently, it may not come to that.
Wellwood could make the team if Carcillo walks, but otherwise I think our team will be the same, cept no Zherdev. Carcillo/Powe will probably make the top 9 out of necessity

I'm getting the impression that both Carcillo and Zherdev are out. I'd be shocked if either of them stayed.

I've felt this way for awhile. Zherdev is not happy here and Carcillo is not on Lavy's good side.
Also, I love Lavy. I hope he sticks around. He is everything I'd want to be if I was a coach. Forces the players to be well conditioned, is a good strategist, shows emotion on the bench, and uses his timeouts to directly impact the game. The dude is awesome.
