Sorry, what is he too small for?

Ryan...Is that you?

all kidding aside, He does bring what the team lacks the most...speed.

At this point I would rather have Shannon playing more minutes than out of shape, dangle every time I have the puck Nick Foligno.

Elliott destroys the Sabres.

There's no reason for Leclaire to be starting.

I was originally a huge LeClaire supporter and was ecstatic when Ottawa got him, but injuries have really slowed him down. I really wish someone offers him a contract at the end of the season though.

EDIT: NOT OTTAWA!!
why do ppl keep saying Niemi?

i am 100% nittiymaki (sp?) schooled us

how long has it been since one of the last things we've had to worry about for us is who is starting in net? the rest of the team has been so crappy it really doesn't matter who's playing in goal for us tonight. night after night our goaltending has been the least of our worries.

I'm absolutely for Ells starting. But theres no reason for anyone to be dumping on Pascal right now.

You're right, Leclaire should get out there and score some goals, play D and give us respectable goaltending.

Don't get me wrong, he's not amazing, but I really think nitpicking about which goalie starts is the last of our problems.

Niemi was definitely in nets, not Niittymaki.

Too small to fight people who are asking for it, hit players, and get the team going with some energy. The team played like a bunch of pewees the last game.

Nope, no lineup changes other than Elliott.

they should conspire for a line brawl again, could help both teams.

With goal support like that Tim Thomas might have won 4 or 5 of the last 20 he's played in.
I don't know about that. In tim thomas' last 17 games he's allowed 24 goals.

In the sens last 17 games, they've scored 37 goals.

So with goal support like "that" which you pointed out, tim thomas would probably have won 13-15 of them. 37-17 is very good.

Thomas has allowed 24 in 17...compare that to leclaire allowed more(29) in way less games (10).

Although leclaire's offensive support has been ****, he's still a bad goalie...when you compare him to a good goalie, and the good goalie would have 500% more wins...

*37-24....i can't edit lol.

I can see why Melynk could be nervous in doing a rebuild

Yeah it's pretty obvious eh. One bad stretch sending the team to 10-11th in the conference and we may hit 16500 on a Saturday night against a divisonal rival. This happened last year too...I recall being one of the people in my section at a game against St Louis last year...we ended up 5th in the conference lol.

I think it'd be so much more different if he would just admit to it being a rebuild year. Continuously saying "We're contenders, we're going all the way" is great, but you have to back it up. Otherwise, it just looks like a team without direction.

Yeah I think Melnyk saying we can win gives people the wrong idea. I'm beginning to think he's more of a problem then anything...but the thing is...without him, there may be no team in Ottawa.

You would think he would have learned by now. He needs to be a quieter owner until this team can bring in some players who are willing to live up to what their owner predicts. This bunch doesn't seem to care they are embarrassing their owner.
