My friends have been giving me a hard time lately because I recently started talking to a good friend from high school again who happens to be female, but neither of us are interested in each other sexually or anything, and my friends seem to think this is bad or something? Like apparently to all my friends a girl is incapable of being a friend, they're only good for sex!
Like I've never really had a girl in my life that was just a good friend, and this is a person that is like that, like somebody I could talk to about anything etc.. but I have to like hide the fact that I hang out with her because I'll get an endless amount of **** from my friends.
This situation just seems silly, I need some advice.
Got all 4 done, 1 was horribly cracked and mildly infected and 1 was impacted.
For some reason, they gave me vicoden for it, all it does is make me slightly dizzy and slightly tired. I don't feel the slightest bit of anything else.
All in all, good times. My first time being anesthetized, I was apparently hilarious. I slept for about 16 hours yesterday. And I look like I was punched in the face (swelling).
Gooooood times. I'll be able to eat food normally for the first time in 2+ years once I'm recovered.

Stop hanging out with her because you're saying "like" far too often.
I have no advice, because I've never been friends with a girl that I wasn't trying to get with.

i've always had equal numbers of male/female friends.
the one time, years ago, that this happened to me... i just looked at the dude giving me hell and said; "you are just jealous because i *could* bang her if i wanted."

They are jealous because they are not friends with her in some facet. Mostly because they probably want to bang her. Trust me on this one. I have many many girl friends who are simply just that, platonic friends. And I would never hide that crap!
And since everyone has seen me already, my "little sister" who happens to be a former Hollister model
The only thing to consider is that it may elope into something else. I had one girl that I was extremely close with, I'm talking 2 hour convo's and texts every damn day for about 4 years while I was in SC as if we were dating ended up being a relationship for 2 years just as I was heading to South America for combat ops. Came home and holy god did that go bad lol
get new friends if they're giving you crap about being friends with girls. seriously, where do you dig these people up? I've been hanging out with girls in platonic relationships since I can remember and no one has ever said anything about it. Sometimes the girl wants more, sometimes (often) you do, but that's always been easy enough to deal with. You can't do something like blow off a fantasy football draft with the guys to go shopping at Patina with the girls and expect to not take flak, but if they're giving you crap it's likely good natured and it's only your insecurity making you squirm.

My longtime girlfriend started out as just a friend. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was totally going after her.
Sounds like your friends are pretty childish, CT. Unless, like ryn said, you've been ditching them to hang out with the new chick. Do whatever you want, if they're real friends, they'll shut up about it sooner or later. You'll know real quick who's on your side.
