Anyway, made this the other day.

That'd be great, actually. I'll probably make you feel better about your ankle, I'm a HORRID skater.

Whenever works, I need all the ice time I can get this year.

In other wonderful news... I've got an infected wisdom tooth, and need to have it removed. The best part? I just started a new job, and have no time off, no insurance, no nothing. Goooooooo me!

I was one of the faster skaters in high school. But after having plantar fasciitis and now this ankle thing, I'm sure I'm beyond slow at this point. I tried skating the other week and I don't have full motion in my ankle yet so it's hard for me to get a full, strong stride.

Yes, I keep annoying stats on myself and my team as well. Here's a fun discrepancy:

I played the first couple years of rec hockey as a forward before moving to D last year. This year I've been going back and forth between them, and there's a pretty big discrepancy in my performance:

Fwd - 3gp 5g 2a 7pts +7 28 shots
Def - 4gp 0g 0a 0pts +1 7 shots (Cam Barker numbers )

If I get to play forward the rest of the year, I'm "on pace" for:

20gp 27g 11a 37 pts +38 156 shots

My best year was 14gp 8g 14a 22pts +14 47 shots (on defense). That would be a nice bump.

Oh hey I forgot about your ankle, how's it going? Are you doing rehab? Off crutches and what not?

I've been "walking" for a couple of months now. Granted, for a while it was mostly limping around. Now I'm walking fairly normal without much of a limp unless I'm on it all day.

I've been doing physical therapy pretty much since I was able to after the surgery. It's alright, though, my physical therapist is a good looking, 30ish little blond gal and we mostly just flirt throughout the hour...

Basically, the whole thing sucks. I'm a very active person and being laid up this long is not fun. I ran daily and now I won't be running at all for about another year. I've had to adapt to a much different work out process. I'm doing a lot of plyos, yoga-based stuff, and lifting more weights than I ever have as they weren't really a big part of my offseason or in-season hockey program.

Snow doesn't help that. In fact, it makes it impossible to play hockey.

but..but..but we need it for the atmosphere

Actually, the temperature isn't normal here. We should have a ton of snow. We only have rain. Not cold enough

Does anyone else like her music, I find her voice to be absolutely stunning. I currently can't stop listening to this song.

Further evidence of her amazing voice in a live setting.

the newscut guy on MPR said we (Minnesota) had just about enough snow to give everyone else in the country a white christmas (in cubic inches).

RE: florence and the machine ... hit or miss. I admire her abilities for sure--she's no monotone justin bieber haircut having weirdo (looking at you Pomplamoose girl) but sometimes it just grates on me and i have to switch over.

I just heard Florence & the Machine last night for the first time, was very cool.

And she fits two of the three criteria for my female indie rock singer checklist
- wear an awful dress (check)
- have bad hair (check)
- have a bland, uninteresting voice (her voice is actually great)

She sounds EXACTLY like Grace Slick.

good! i'm excited to see that one. love the Coen bro's and I've read they stuck to the book rather than go the way of the spaghetti western original.
