Two things - One: cue the Omark rants. Two: This will make it very interesting regarding resigning Hemmer, or trading him later on. Injury prone players seem to generate mixed reviews.

Yeah with Hemsky you just automatically expect him to miss 10+ games now a days. Hope we get to see Omark for a few games at least.

Oh man, not again. Since when Hemsky started to become injury prone?
Perhaps we should trade him afte rhe make 20 games ina row next time.

I think that we should bring Omark up and see what he can do in Hemmer's place. Reddox is a 3rd 4th line player.

The other 2 lines are playing very well so were not going to break them up.

Hall, Horc, Eberle will be the no. one line now
Penner, Cogs, Brule the 3rd line
MP, Gagner, Omark will be the 3rd line.

Why not Pääjärvi-Gagner-Omark? We could give it a try. But with a look at draft day they should perhaps replace him with Jones again and put Mac in the 4th line.

91-89-23 would get owned in their own end! Perfect line for the draft!

Reddox will have to clear through re-entry waivers.. Omark wont..
I say Omark gets the call up before Reddox even if Reddox is playing better down in minors.

Reddox should only come up as an emergency callup which would mean 3+ forwards on IR

They should be able to call up someone for tonight's game, right?

misconception since Pajaarvi and Gagner despite not being big are 2 of our better 2-way forwards.

Gagner has a decent 2 way game, and paajarvi has been much better in the D zone than the other end of the ice all year.

Omark may be a bit of a slouch but the other two are fine.

It could actually work really well imo, all three are slick passers who can shoot when they choose. All are quite shifty and quick, and with gagner seemingly getting better along the boards and omark never losing a battle, i think it could be a hell of a line.

To be honest though, i'm not expecting a call up. We'll probably just dress smac or strudwick.
Jones has been okay alongside paajarvi and gags, and omark has cooled off lately, so i doubt they mess with anything unless more injuries occur and are forced to.

There is no rush since we have Jacques and MacIntyre to fill the last spot (Jones staying on the 3rd line)
We might even see Strudwick playing forward if there were any more injuries..

You would think he'd be able to make it though, considering they must've known about Hemsky's situation early this morning, giving them at least eight hours to fly a call up over to Edmonton.

indefinitely? Weird.... He looked just fine in Montreal. Did he re-injure himself?

That's what I'm thinking. This has re-injured his groin cause he came back too early written all over it.

That's what it sounds like to me. I know Bob Stauffer mentioned that speculation on Oilers Lunch this week.

Its a tricky injury imo.

I remember i tweaked mine last year playing hockey, and i'd wait a few days and feel absolutely fine, only to go out and have a totally normal game and wake up the next day in worse pain than before.

Since you don't really put as much stress on that area during everyday living as you would in hockey, you think you're okay only to work it out too hard when returning and hurt yourself again, and probably don't notice until after the game is over because of the adrenaline you get from playing.

We were winning too many games so they are holding Ales out till we get a good 4pt lead on last spot. Then he will be back.
