What was the best game you've ever seen?

Th best game i have ever seen was this years game 6, Flyers-Lightning. i had the privlidge of being at this game and seeing Primeau dominate. the atmosphere was electric and you would have thought we won the cup after that win with all the cheering in the building. was a great game that i know i will never forget.

5 OT game.

Game 6 was good, but not extraordinary.

Game 6 1987 Cup Finals vs. Edmonton was something special.

I can list so many playoff games over the years but here is one of my favorite regular season games: it was the last game Wayne Cashman was the head coach (not for that reason on March 8, 1998). The Flyers won at home 4-3 over the Pens on ESPN as Alexander Daigle netted an OT goal his first as a Flyer. It came the day after Pittsburgh won 6-4 in the Igloo when Lindros got leveled by Kasparaitis. The crowd wanted Kasparaitis' head. ESPN reported during the game that Roger Neilson was most likely going to be the new head coach of the Flyers.

That was a fun game, though not a playoff game. I remember during that game Gratton got into a fight and after it was over, he skated over to the Pen's bench and pointed at Kaspuritis and said "You're next". I really gained a lot of respect for him after that game, though I can't stand him now.

I'd have to say Game 6. Just when Primeau scored, I got so wired. A lot of those OT games were awesome, but I was just happy to finally get to bed. This one was just different because the game was just so fun to watch, every single minute.

I know it wasn't a playoff game. I meant to say that I could list about 50 playoff games but I purposely selected a regular season game. I will try to re-word that thought in my original post.

Same here. I got the luxury of my stepdad somehow getting ice-level seats right (immediately behind Khabibulin's net during the overtime)....easily the best experience I've ever had at any sports event in my life.

The feeling walking through the arena between 3rd period and the first overtime was unbelievable. You just got the feeling that nothing could happen but the Flyers come out on top.

Amen. I'm from Hamilton and bought the package to see the entire tournament.

That last game was the best hockey I can ever imagine watching. Copps Coliseum was rocking and the teams were playing their hearts out.

I don't know if anyone remembers the press conference after the game, but I felt so bad for Cashman there. He had no idea this was coming, and he looked like he was going to cry when the first question out of a reporters mouth was asking him about the rumors. He might have been the happiest I had ever seen him as he sat down, and he almost ran out of there after 2 questions. It was a shame, but he had to go.

For best game I've ever been to, it'd be a tie between this year's two game fives. Watching the Flyers eliminate the Devils in person was quite gratifying, and seeing the Leafs fans in the neighboring section be completely humiliated with their team's performance was pretty good. Markov's celebration after scoring the winner against the Devils was great, you could tell he was a team player after that one. The building was as loud as I've ever heard it. Primeau's hat trick was pretty cool too.

Best game ever watched, though, was the 5OT game against Pittsburgh. I also got one of those autographed artist pictures of it. IMO, there's nothing like watching history unfold.

As far as a game I attended, as a kid, I saw the Flyers break the NHL record for games without a loss (29, the streak that eventually reached 35) when they beat the Bruins in Boston in December 1979. I still have the ticket stub. Even the Bruins fan applauded the Flyers when they came onto the ice upon conclusion of the game.

The two best games I've seen in person are

Game 6 vs. Edmonton in 1987 & Game 6 vs. Tampa this year.

We did this thread a few months ago, but things have changed a little since then so...

Top five Flyers games.

1) 5 OT game against Pittsburgh
2) Game 6 against Tampa
3) Game 6 against Edmonton in 87'
4) Game 5 against the Devils
5) The Ottawa brawl

Yeah, these will undoubtedly change a bit, but that's it for now.

wow 3 games from this year. i got a question for anyone who would like to answer. the game when former goalie Brian Boucher made that sweeping back of the glove save on an elias breakaway, was that a wn or a lose. that was a great game and an even more incredible save. i m thinking that was game 6 or 7 was it 3-1?

The 5-OT game against Pittsburgh is still number one on my list.

I still remember watching that and almost being asleep when Primeau scored the game winner.

Game 6 '85 semis Flyers Vs. Quebec
Game 6 '87 finals Flyers vs. Edmonton
Game 5 '00 quarters Flyers vs. Pittsburgh
Game 6 '04 semis Flyers vs. TB
