Lets make it 2 and 0 vs the Hawks this season. The Flames have been epic fail vs the Hawks for a couple seasons now... time to even the score.

hmmm, I dont know how I feel about that. Kotalik better prove himself out there. When one of the only positives for a team is that Kotalik is coming back... things are not good.

Glad to see Kotalik back in. Not that he's the solution to all (or any) of the problems, but he looked really good in preseason and if he's still motivated could give the team a boost. Never hurts to make guys fight to get in the lineup rather than sit in the pressbox

This makes no sense, why would a centerman get scratched for a winger. Also if they think Backlund is the weak link someone needs to get a good smack over the head! Just remembered that I didn't see Backlund play much last game. Injury?

Backlund has been our best penalty killing forward, and best defensive forward all year, Why the **** would he get scratched?!! He is a young player and needs playing time to further develop his game and Brent is messing that up.

The only reason why Backlund would be out is if he has an illness/minor injury. Sutter can't be that stupid to sit out Backlund for any other reason.

Maybe he is purposely trying to hinder every prospect we have until he is fired?

I'm sure Backlund just has the flu. I'm excited to see if Kotalik can help out the team scoring even though we are in the middle of the pack (17th, I think)

Backlund only played 7 minutes last game and i don't remember seeing him in the third. Must be an injury.

I actually kind of like the move if Backlund is a healthy scratch. I really like what Backlund has done this season but he hasn`t had any offence hardly at all in the last 3 weeks. Maybe Sutter is trying to get him going and taking a game from the press box might actually help him in the long run to get going in the offensive department.

I think the Flames lose this game 6-3.

I hope there is a legit reason for Backlund sitting.... of course do not hope an injury, maybe a flu etc.

Maybe Sutter is trying to trade Backlund for Chris Chelios?

Hmmm... gonna have to go ahead and agree here.

There must be something to justify this... otherwise it is a complete and utter bone-headed move...

Maybe because Backlund hasn't done **** all as of late? Doesn't he have something like 1 point in the last 17 games? Watching from the press box might not be the worst idea right now for the kid. He's expected to be providing offense and he hasn't.
