Brent Wallace has reported that Clouston has only dressed one forward for the game... Umm what gives? Does this mean anything?

Hey Bobby just a heads up, you don't need to think of a play before you skate into the offensive zone, the Senators just make it up as they go along.

N.B. - They seem to like to do toe drags and giving up on man rushes so you'll have to forget everything you've been coached until now, good luck to you

Yeah, I don't think Ruutu has played very well either

Creepy. Whoever that player is can surely dress himself.

Poor Butler, getting called up during our worst scoring slump.

No pressure, right?

While it’s good to see Butler get a shot after a very strong season with Bingo, this is basically a band-aid over a gushing artery. This won’t change a thing but I guess a small move is better than nothing at all.

I really hope people are not expecting a whole lot from Butler.

Looks like we'll have a clear path to the cup now that we have our top 3 forward playing. I expect a PPG and nothing less.

So...Butler plays two games in the two night and the Sens call him up to play a 3rd in less than 72 hours? Why didn't they do this on Friday?

They hadn't been convinced enough that we suck.

Melnyk probably called Murray friday and said they were going to win the cup...Murrays hands were tied

This. I find the higher the expectations we have on our players/prospects the more we're leading ourselves to becoming disappointed in the end. We know the kid has talent so lets not label him a bust after tnights game when he stays off the score sheet. I think what BM is doing here is seeing if he can take the safe way out and not loose assets in a trade by hoping Butler can spark the team. If that fails, then he'll probably go the trade route but either way he's probably gonna make some deals, just maybe not as dramatic if he sees butler is helping our O.

i dont think ppl are expecting Butler to win the game or something. Most ppl are just happy to see young blood in the lineup and something else to watch then the same old same old

I am so pumped to see what Butler can do with the 4:28 of ice time Clouston will give him!!

Imagine, 84 seconds on the top line and then a full 3:04 on the 4th line! He will definitely be a game changer!!!

I don't expect him to score but at least he'll bring some energy to this boring ass team except for Karlsson and Regin and even though it's his 3rd game straight in 3 days.

Don't forget that our D-men have carte blanche to abandon their defensive responsibilities at will to pinch down low and create offense... but one of our forwards have to remain at the blueline just in case that happens because being an actual D-man is their responsibility right now.

That will probably be Butler. Standing at the blueline between our two D-men waiting for one of them to pinch so that he can waste his talents by covering for them.

Nice to see him rewarded for his play in Bingo, and get some big league ice time. Not expecting a lot.

as sad as it is, the best rushes on Saturday night against Buffalo were by Karlsson in the 3rd period when he decided that there was nothing left to lose and started just playing good ole shinny hockey.

What was so special with that guy? I would assume Butler would be better with his AHL goal production. Was Saprykin thought of as some sort of saviour or something?

I'm cheering for Bobby! I expect the Rangers to play poorly and the Sens will take advantage of it. Hopefully Bobby can cash in, maybe get the GWG so we can overuse the "the Butler did it" expression.

Hopefuly Butler can get going and give confidence to the offense.

I don't expect him to win the game by himself but I do hope he brings his A game and shows the Senators that they can be dangerous offensively if they just work the system.
