Nucks fans were pretty disappointed with Edler (lots ot turnovers and bad decision making despite a few points) after the first 5 games, not sure how he has performed since. I stayed up late to watch their first few games and he sucked but those left coast games killed my sleep and I haven't seen them play since. Maybe he has turned it on lately?
Pietrangelo and Letang have not been very good this season. I try to catch a lot of Blues' games, and he hasn't exactly been the "perfect" defenseman. He makes a lot of mistakes or misreads(yes, more than Karlsson this season).
Letang has played better the past ~5ish games or so.
Karlsson is still leading defencemen in Finnish league in scoring by 10 points. Could've won scoring titles in two leagues in one year. How awesome would that have been?
I'm saying it here and now... I think Karlsson should be our next captain. I know it doesn't always go to the best player but he is the identity of the Sens and will be for a long time. I dont' see Spezza doing much with a C, or Phillips, or whoever.... Karlsson is the true next captain of Ottawa when Alfie reties.
Do you have to play a minimum number of games to be able to be nominated for one of the trophy's? Yes I know body of work etc, but he could still win ... right? right?

I used to think that I would pick only Crosby and Malkin over EK, with Stamkos coming a close 4th. I have come to think that there is one one player who I may choose over EK in the league.
EK is second on my best player in the world list - he is one of the few players who can give Crosby a run for the money for perennial best player in the league.
We all know of his great skating, pin point passing, awesome shot selection... but still, how does he do it? Many players have these qualities, but... Karlsson ALWAYS has the puck. He tilts the ice and creates a scoring chance every shift he plays.
Our PP looked so much more lethal when he was once the ice, our breakouts were phenomenal with him on the ice and our chances overall were tenfolds with what we've been seeing even with everyone not playing their best.
