Drewiske. Harrold.

Only way we would give up JJ, is if some team had someone like Richards and wanted Johnson as a center of a deal.

He has played like 5 games >.< I wouldn't be running around looking to trade Jack Johnson just yet... Not at all actually, Johnson isn't going anywhere and Dean will make sure of it. As far as Martinez goes, we have plenty of kids in the defensive system. He will have to put up a couple of good seasons if he wants to beat out the likes of Hickey and Voynov. Randy Jones was like our best offensive defenseman when he first joined the team, and I doubt anyone wants anything to do with him now...

I think Martinez, Drewiske and Harrold will all remain on the roster until whenever Parse is fit to return. That's when we'll need to move somebody by my reckoning.

Drewiske is on the hot seat. Harrold has shown that he can sit for long periods of time and still shows up to play when given a chance. I have not seen the same thing from Drewiske, he needs to play to stay sharp.

Harrold is perfect #7 defenseman. He can play the PP and can fill in on the 4th line. Drewiske is a #6 defenseman and can be moved in a package for help up front.

My exact thoughts to a tee. Thanks for saving me the additional typing!

If he continues his great play, for, oh I don't know, about 20 more games, then Harrold or Drewiske becomes expendable. After 5 games, not so much. JJ isn't going anywhere unless it's an offer DL can't refuse.

Hey, I'm serious. IMHO, Johnson's the new Mark Hardy.

I don't know if you were part of Kings fandom in the eighties, but Kings fans booed Hardy mercilessly whenever the guy made a dumb-dumb play. It got to be so bad that he was traded and had to go to therapy. No joke.

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I see Johnson as Mark Hardy part II. His "hockey-smarts" just don't exist.

I'm loving the way A-Mart is playing but he's been up for only a few games and half of you are already on your knees in line hoping to **** his ****! He isnt REPLACING anybody, just yet. When he puts up a season like this then you can start talking about someone else being expendable.

Every player, and I mean EVERY PLAYER, goes through good and bad stretches. Let's let the euphoria of being up with the big boys wear off and see how he's doing in a month or two.

I don't see a d-man being moved until the deadline or the draft/off season.

Martinez has been solid. But we're no where near trading someone. If Martinez keeps up his level of play through the playoffs then we can have this discussion.

Martinez has been good but plenty of players looked good five games in. Ask again in 50 games.

I'd definitely find him a spot among the top6 d-men if he can keep this level of play up (big if), and that would probably be at the expense of Drewiske once Mitchell comes back.

Mitchell-Doughty
Scuds-Johnson
Martinez-Greene

Wait, he's emerged? I'm confused.

I guess Doughty is expendable too because he's made more bonehead plays than Jack this year and he missed 5 games. Jack actually has been very good this year. The Jack Johnson hate by the same characters around here is bordering on stupidity.
