time to burn the 3rd jersey?

tongue in cheek, but these 3rd jerseys have been nothing but a curse.

I've burned it enough, I think. More so Boomer, but he mostly just gets a little hot under the collar.

The CBJ have a losing record in every version of their jersey they've ever worn.

Time to burn the organization?

Drop the Blue. Columbus Jackets. Has a nice ring to it.

It certainly worked for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Sadly, I think you dropped the wrong word from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

I'm already tired of it. Not only are they 0-4, but they're also incredibly bland and lacking of color. They've only worn them four times and they're already stale. I hate them.

Uniforms don't play games, players do. I'd say the organization above the head coach is on the hot seat now..

Gotta have the players to win and those players are not on this team. I love building from within but in todays game a team needs more than one Rick Nash.

Blah might be the only one left standing but both Howson and Priest are NOW on the clock.

Say what you will dear one but we have not won a game since we slid those over the once bright heads of our boys. I knew we were in trouble when I saw what we were wearing!

As I've said before, I like the jerseys. But, I'll make an exception and burn one if Mike "Quitter" Commodore is in it.

Say what you will, dear, but that's just silly. Robert's right - it's not the sweater, it's the player. Dress these guys up like the Wings, or '80s Oilers and they still lose the last five games. It doesn't bother me if fans want to blame luck, fate, curses, etc., as long as the coach, team, and management understand where the problem lies.

Unfortunately, that hasn't seemed to be evident, either!

I think they may all realize where the problem lies. Unfortunately, it writes their checks.

Finally got around to reading UniWatch's review of the sweaters and I realized why we're losing in them, karma.

Quote:
How wonderful that Mr. McConnell’s death could be leveraged into a “collectors’ edition” jersey. Ka-ching! While I could be wrong, I believe this marks the first time a team has explicitly used a uniform memorial as a retail sales tool — a new low in marketing (or maybe just in American culture, period).

I believe the real problem is not the jerseys but the curse that a jaded Stinger obviously put on the team when they introduced Boomer. To end the curse, Stinger should drive the Pepsi cannon car around the ice next game and proceed to fire Boomer into the upper bowl. After landing, Boomer should be beaten like a pinata, then spray-painted neon green and hung from the rafters as a lesson to all future mascot wanna-bes.

Agreed, obviously. Unless it's in the hands of Miss Price, that lovely English apprentice witch. (Hadn't thrown out an obscure movie reference lately.)

Also, the Dispatch was right: The Struggles began during the game against the Islanders, not against Detroit.

Yes, but it was during the Islanders game that Boomer was introduced: the Curse of Stinger...

I suppose it's possible that the players felt a great disturbance in the organization, as if millions of virgins suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
