Briere's discipline is awful.

There's a middle ground between "he stank" and "he was fine." Your goaltender was in that gray area somewhere. Certainly not exceptional, possibly excusable. But the goals still count. Every tender has games like that.

I guess you can say he should have had Pavelski's and both shootout goals. Thoise are all goalie vs. shooter situations.

Furthermore, the point I'm making is that a goalie who only makes the saves he "should make" isn't really all that special. To be honest, Bob has let in quite a few that were just bad recently. A couple against the Isles and that one to Mair from a 10 degree angle was just brutal.

I'm not dissing the guy, I'm just saying he has some work to do.

He could have done better in the shootout, but I blame the team in front of him for the actual goals

Yea his GWGs this weekend are really hurting this team. Those were bad penalties to take but you saw all the holding and grabbing the sharks were doing. Those were penalties FOR SURE. I saw one play when the sharks player dropped his stick and held carters with his other hand and was grabbing the puck with the other one. Could not believe that wasnt a call

At first I actually figured it must have been Carter who dropped his stick, since the SJ was clearing holding it haha

In all seriousness, what is wrong with briere and his stick. If we have a lead late in a game he takes a high sticking penalty like clockwork

So he gets away with butchering this team. His PPG does not matter if the team does not win. The result would have been the same if he did not play tonight.

So, I am sticking to my point.

Plus, the coach is creating the precedent of double standard.

Maybe Lavi should only play Briere until we get a lead, then bench him.....

Or Briere can just smarten the **** up

Some of you seriously need anger management classes. It makes me sick to see how quick you are praising a player one day and ripping him to shreds the next. Coming to this board isn't much fun anymore.

Not sure about benching him but him and Carter and whoever else, make an example out of them. This is ****ed up. Selfsih, selfish, selfish.

Better yet, skate the whole team. Not just 2-3 guys. This is not just one time deal

Bob is fine. He has just looked average lately. He also is getting bad luck with the deflections. He still has some work to do. I still think he goes down in the butterfly way too early.

Haha yea so did I. Frustrating that calls like that are not called and we have been called many times in OT. Cant help that though but we need to cut down on all penalties for once.

Carle is the most expandable player on the roster. His play so far this season hasn't been up to par with last year. His turnovers in the defensive zone are terrible.

I will agree with you that he does play too far back in the shootout. The second goal he was almost in the net when that puck went in.

Exactly what I was thinking especially given the upcoming stretch....I doubt it will be that bad but it might not be pretty if they don't play more disciplined/

Flyers got outworked, plain and simple. I'm pissed about the missed calls on the Sharks, but there's no excuse for being outworked. Keep your head in the game and don't let your emotions run away with you. Lavi better put them through the wringer tonight; they deserve it. I want to see fire tomorrow.

This is all I'm saying, yet people are flipping out like he's the second coming of Jesus Christ and he doesn't have flaws.

yes but at the same time Calre made 2 beautifule plays that resulted two goals by Zherdev and Hartnell. Yes, Laino made that drop pass but Carle made a pass to Hartnell

for sure. I was convinced he was gone as soon as we got Meszaros, leaving enough room to keep Gagne... but no.

I dont care that he puts up assists, some of the plays he makes are just plain idiotic. 1 point for every 5 or 10 brutal plays or turnovers is not worth it. Otherwise Zherdev would be a legend
