We win 4-1.

Quite remarkable really if you think about it.
Yeah man I was telling my buddy were missing a top 6 forward to fully round up our top 6, Markov is gone, but no matter what is going on we're finding ways to win its a great feeling knowing we can win and overcome whatever.

Honestly that was the coolest Habs goal i've seen in awhile (mostly cuz it was Hammer). Looked so cool in super slow-mo

I (for one, probably in a large minority) am fearing very much that Gomez might be out. Yeah, I'd like to see DD play, but he is not Scott Gomez, as bad as everyone thinks the latter is. Notice the complete failure to enter the zone when he was gone. Just sayin, Gomer is important.

BTW, I thought Picard (and Darche ftm) played just fine. Everyone was bobbling the puck in the second. Halpern is simply awesome. We were worried that he might not be very offensive like Moore. We were wrong.

I wish it were the other way. Even though I do think Auld is a capable goalie, I'd much prefer a win against Toronto than a who knows what might happen against Detroit (and I have cousins who are huge Wings fans and will razz me if we lose). I just can't stand losing to the leafs. That being said, I have no idea how each goalie will play on that day and I don't want to disparage Auld. His wife is hotter than Briere's.

I just realized the Habs are the only team in the league yet to play in a shootout. So they lead the lead the league in regulation wins.

and how do we reward our players for preventing going to SO? 3 games and running of bench time.

It is amazing and we've played well all year long. Much better than I thought we'd be. Not just great goaltending either... we are outplaying teams.

And that just didn't happen last year.

I seriously can't see a team we couldn't beat. I guess Detroit is the real test. My mind says no Markov, no cup, but my heart is telling me that this could be the year.

Its a perfect situation to sit Price. I don't care if the leafs are a divisional rival and play us hard, they suck so they get Auld who btw has a good record against the leafs. Price will end up playing a ******** of games, but this is one he should sit.

It is a nigh guarantee Price is in nets for Detroit. They are the best team in the league and will devour Auld. Honestly, I bet he takes both games.

Anyhow, besides the disastrous second period, wherein we dodged a bullet, the Habs played rather well. That period still speaks volumes of how inconsistent our powerplay is.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why many feel Eller will probably be a bottom-six guy? To me, he has too much talent, speed and intelligence to not play in the top-six.

After the weekend games, they rest until Wed. Price will probably take the B2B.
