Kuba is bloody useless.

Every time Kuba is on the ice our transition play is horrid.

Over the past couple games I must have counted dozens of times where either:

a) Kuba flips puck in when he has 2 options to make a perfectly fine pass (LOL FLIPS PUCK IN ON A 3-2)
b) Doesn't move his feet in the defensive zone, resulting in crappy breakout or turnover.

Does anyone else see this? It's frustrating the hell out of me.

I agree I never liked him as a player and wanted him to be traded at the beginning of the season.

We have enough depth of offensive d man to let him go. Also for a guy who is fairly big and slow he is soft. We should have kept Sutton, at least Sutton would clear the front of the net and deliver a few huge hits.

Robidas or Regehr would make a nice replacement but I think it would take more than Kuba to acquire either.

For his cap hit we could possibly get a decent powerforward like Clowe, Hartnell or Penner. Or maybe we could take a shot at getting a player like Shane Doan.

Kuba's slow, and yeah he's big but he doesn't use his body at all.

Just to add, I honestly think the man doesn't know how to use his size. Ever since he's been back he is always getting out-muscled around the net.

Of all the players to make a thread about after the game, Kuba eh? Meh, hes a good 3-4 Dman, last year he was only behind Volchenkov in blocked shots, and I think he has a good breakout pass.

Most of our forwards aren't good enough to accept good breakout passes anyway so it doesn't really matter.

This reminds me of a thread from last year titled "Kuba is brutal...".

Quote:
Kuba has pretty much been brutal since returning from his injury except for maybe 5 games. I really don't know what's going on with him as last year, it was his consistency in all aspects of the game (Powerplay, defense, etc) that made him who he was.

This year, he either has a really good game or a really bad game and so far, there have been way too many bad games. Bad turnovers in the defensive zone, inability to keep the puck in the offensive zone, and just what seems like a lackadaisical approach to the game.

I don't know, I find myself to be a fairly patient person with players but I think this is way overdue. Simply put, I expect more out of a veteran player like Kuba.
Quote:
Gong show out there tonight for him. Horrendous. Please tell me him and Picard aren't going back to their cluster**** ways.
Quote:
Tell me about it.

He is really leaving Karlsson in some tough situations.
Really hope we can find a way to move this guy out at some point before next season.

Kuba + Lee for Setoguchi. I posted this on the main board a few weeks ago and a few Sharks fans said they would take it.

Agree with this. Kuba wasn't a hero out there, but who the **** was? He made some solid plays, I thought he was one of our better guys out there tonight... if not the best on our blue line at least. He definitely accomplished as much as the other 5.

Phillips and ALfie were the two worst players out there for what they should bring to the table

This team isnt going anywhere if the leaders dont step their game up.

Phillips made some many bonehead bpass and clear attempts and Alfie would just skate to the blue line and PEEL AWAY like 5 freaken times instead of dumping and chasing!

Problem is, we don't have a solid shutdown defense to lean onto anymore. Phillips is below average now making it that much harder for everyone else to do their job and then some.

I swear to god i keep seeing Gonchar as always the first defense man back...WTF???

Is this actually a thread? Tons more wrong about The Sens then singling out one player. I guess whatever makes you feel better?

I think Kuba is playing better than Phillips right now which begs the question, should Phillips be resigned considering how poorly he is playing this season?

Thread should be changed to Sens were bloody useless. Tough to pick on one player when majority of the players gave little effort.

Ya I tought his breakout pass to Alfie was pretty good, it's probably his fault (and Murray) if even Alfie can't finish or do something good with the puck

Until they all realize that they have to work hard with the sense of urgency from game to game and period to period, they will all look bad

To me, Alfie, Spezza and Phillips are the most useless actually and not the depht players. Kuba is now the 4th D-man with Gonchar, Phillips and Karlsson aboard

It's the least they could do for raking us over the coals with the Heatley deal.

I was wondering how long it would take in the season for one of these threads to pop up... think the title needs to be changed to "This Thread is bloody useless" cause it sure as hell doesn't describe Kuba's play.
