New Hats, Old Colors.

http://www.lids.com/pid/20219465?cpoi2=7

So I saw this on Lids. I like this hat, kinda different.

But all the "new" hats I've been seeing are still in the old colors, the darker navy.

It appears to have the right logo with 4 stripes, but it's the old colors.

Anyone have any ideas or know why this would be?

I hope they change it to the actual team colors now. I really want to get a fitted hat with the royal blue. I got one from mitchell and ness last year but I want one from new era. I remember my friend who is big into the hat game said that new era changes their hats to whatever colors the team uses that season. I hope we get some new hats.

They probably just havent gotten around to changing it we're a small market crappy hockey team so its not a top priority..

I bought a hat last year from lids and I loved it it was plain white and the logo was navy/orange but I cant find it anywhere.. I went into the lids the other day and they had a hartford whalers hat but didnt even have one isles hat haha.

The big logo on the bill is straight-up cheese.

It's a sad day when it costs $27-33 for a friggin' hat...a hideous one at that.

They even call it the "Tanka" style. Rhymes with "Gangsta"

Nuthin' more gangsta (or tanka) than rollin' in with the straight brimmed cap of a team that hasn't seen the second round since 1993...

Keep that in my closet right next to my Clippers cap and my piece...

Call me old fashioned but I like a hat you can wear straight. This one seems tailor made for those who go the sideways route. I just want to knock it off the person's head when I see that.

I usually don't wear these kind of hats.

But I have a hat collection of sorts for my favorite teams, and have some I don't really wear but I like.

I just don't like the inaccuracy of the colors and used this hat as an example because it's a brand new hat. Other teams haven't changed logos or colors really, so I didn't find anything else.

The New Era hat is pretty sick. I have an orange fitted right now but I really like that one.

And lol at the fitted hate for being to "gansta".

THANK YOU....and the one with no strap form fitted for gangsta's, ****o's and, what they call on the left coast, "bro's" ("hey bro" tough guys, not racist lingo). The hats and the ten-gallon pants just make me wince. Add one suped up lawnmower car and we have a recipe for societal malaise.

new era site already has new ones but they are the old colors. they are the 5950 hats and if you get it in the right size and curve the brim you wont look like a fool.

i got one last year and its a nice hat but i too wish they were the new colors. i will probably order the mitchell and ness hat this year.

That hat is gross. Almost as bad as people wearing all different color Yankee hats. Sorry, but Yankee hats should be worn in one color..... navy blue. No green, brown, red or any other ******** color. I hate those friggin hats.

The NHL store sells trucker-like hats for like 20 bucks. Its from a template but it looks nice enough. I buy a couple every year.

I like different color hats. But I also like matching. So my year old Navy Blue Tavares jersey needs a matching Navy blue cap.

I do have only Navy Blue Yanks hats, I wear em out and get a new one.
But other teams are not so sacred. I would get an all gray Washington Nationals hat. Not with added **** on the brim.

But I do curve the rims of all my hats except one (recently) not curved. Bought a nice J-E-T-S hat and i couldn't curve it. It just looks so ridiculous on me I HAD wear it like that. I added to the Wangster (White Gangster, not Charles Wangs son, thanks fiddy) look with a NWA shirt. Now I can go to the most brutal "'hoods" on LI and get respect. (which is really funny because i am the least hood guy in the hood....probably even less hood than even any of you guys)

Say word.

And I can only wear fitted caps because my head is so big, so Potvins Cups hat I can't use, but Nicks one directly above me looks nice. Too bad it is outta stock

Agreed...but it has a huge flate brim. You'd have to bend it and keep in in a rubber band for weeks...and even then it may not look right.

Yup. Keep the brim in rubberbands and put a baseball in it too. Thats a hat that may need to be worn backwards if the brim is too goofy looking straight forward.
