'92-'94-born talent

Well, I wanted to create a thread about 14-16 y.o. Mostly about 92 and 93 since they will play international topurnaments this season, also had played in TV-Pucken and are playing in J18 and even J20 leagues.
I've watched TV Pucken a bit, and some players really impressed me(A.Pettersson, Mengs, Ohman, A.Larsson etc).
That will be a long post.

So what are the top groupes?

92-
Johan Gustafsson-Farjestad
Adam Larsson-Skelleftea
Viktor Mengs-Malmo
Ricard Blidstrand-Djurgerden
Oliver Bohm-Farjestad
Fredrik Claesson-Djurgerden
Gabriel Landeskog-Djurgerden
Adam Pettersson-Skelleftea
Felix Liljegren-Djurgerden
Daniel Mannberg-Lulea
Fredric Weigel-Djurgerden
Felix Eriksson-Brynas
Ludvig Rensfeldt-Brynas
Dan Pettersson-Mora
John Persson-Mora
Johan Larsson-Brynas
Pontus Nettelbladt-Farjestad
Patrik Naslund-Vaxjo
Fredrik Bjorklund-Mora

Some really big players here, I remember somebody said that Sweden doesn't have many big skilled forwards, from this group Naslund- 190/95, Bjorklund-192/90, Rensfeldt-190/85, Liljegren-193/95, Dan Pettersson-195/100.

93-Mattias Skog, Jacob Wulcan, Fredrik Bergman, Mika Zibanejad, Viktor Rask, Adam Svensson, Kalle Johnasson, Emil Sylvegerd, Anton Tano, Oscar Fredriksson, Pontus Gulden.

94-Kim Lilja, Sebastian Collberg, Henrick Samuelsson, Edwin Hedberg.

Lilja has impressive frame and achievments for his age, Collberg has decent size too, and has 5 pts in 6 games in J20 Elite, aswell as 4 goals in just 2 games in J18 Elite. That's really impressive. He is just 14 and is a good player against guys 2-4 years older than him.

If somebody wants to add players to that group or has to say smth about them, you're welcome.

Any news on Victor Rask would be greatly appreciated, since he plays for the Leksand J18 team. Go LIF!

As for Mattias Skog, he was just sick in this years TV-pucken! Sadly I didn't get to see any of his games but the stats speak for themselves. Anything on him would also be welcome.

Adam Larsson is the top prospect amongst the 92-born at the moment, isn't he? Damn I think it's great to hear about prospects, but I seldom have the time to do my own research. Good thing we have you, Garl! Hehe, don't hold back, go right ahead and let us know everything about any personal favorites you might have!

I've seen Collberg play and he has a lot of talent. He's only 14 but plays with guys that are 4 years older then him and still produce. He has a great shot and good speed. What I've heard he's also practising real hard. He's also practising with Mariestad BOIS whenever he gets the chans. 14 years old and practising with a team in the second best league in Sweden...not bad. Just hope that he can stay healthy and not be injured. Then he might be one of the top players in the world one day!

I'm impressed by Öhman's start this season. 15 points in 13 games so far in his first season in J20 SuperElit and he had 9 points in 3 games in a tournament in Minnesota this weekend. He has also played one game in HockeyAllsvenskan, where he got a few shifts.

Yeah Ohman seems to be the most interesting 92-forward at the moment just ahead of Landeskog and Pettersson.
I think it's time he gets tested on the U-18 national team.

Other 92:
Berglind, Andersson, Gunnarsson, Thorell.

93:
Christian Hägg is higly higly touted.
Other good prospect are Danielsson, Holmén, Nermark (great talent), Marklund.

Brynäs have a verbal agreement with Kalle Johansson. Kalle is joining Brynäs next season, and he's known as one of the very best swedish players born 1993.

92-94 talents

The squad of U16 forgot some of the more talented players. They attended the camp but didnt play for the right team.

Ohman & Pettersson are both eligible for the draft 2010. Another forward that is eligable for that draft is Oscar Lindberg. Born late 91, he's been flying under most peoples radars so far(he's just recently been getting picked for the U18 national team) . He plays for the same J20 team as Pettersson and he is totally outscoring Pettersson.
Lindberg has 11+7 in 23 games. Pettersson has 1+6 in 16 games. Lindberg must definately be a climber in the next swedish 2010 draft rankings. Okay, slightly offtopic post since he's 91er, but he will be drafted among the 92ers.

Not about even 94 talent.

Oscar Eriksson from Farjestad is 2015! draft prospect. Yet he made Farjestads team to Mattsson Cup and scored 1+1 in his debut! Against 4-5 years older players!

Victor Arvidsson (b.93) was awarded MVP the other week in the U16 tournament Modocupen. He scored 20points(14+6) in eight games which was double the number of the 2nd guy(which happened to be Christian Hägg, mentioned above) in the scoring table.

So, Team 92 played 3 exibitions against BCHL teams. They played against guys 3-4 years older and overall looked good from what I've heard.

I also really liked what I heard about Adam Larsson's and Landeskog's physicality.

Now Adam Larsson and Johyan Gustafsson will make their debut for Team 91 at 5-nations tournament. Well deserved.

Also Ricard Blidstrand moved to AIK Stockholm from DIF, Don't know reasons but intresting news. I like the fact that AIK is investing in youngsters, and they have a strong 92 team finally.

Tormentor's thread at main prospects forum made me think about rankings of swedens best 2010 prospects.

Swedish 2010 class seems to be underrated. Probably because we didn't participated at U17 World Cup.

1.Victor Ohman F 6'1 205 Malmo
2.Adam Pettersson C 6'0 180 Skelleftea
3.Johan Gustafsson G 6'2 200 Farjestad
4.Felix Liljegren F 6'4 215 Djurgarden
5.Ludvig Rensfeldt F 6'3 190 Brynas
6.John Persson F 6'1 180 Mora
7.Jacob Berglund C 6'1 205 Malmo
8.Fredrik Weigel C 5'10 160 Djurgarden
9.Oscar Lindberg C 6'0 180 Skelleftea
10.Johan Lundmark F 6'7 203 Vallentuna
11.Ricard Blidstrand D 6'3 201 AIK
12.Felix Eriksson F 5'9 158 Brynas
13.Roger Olsson C 6'1 194 Malmo
14.Joel Ostman D 6'3 200 Timra
15.Pontus Netterberg F 6'0 190 HV 71
16.Johan Larsson F 6'0 205 Brynas
17.Viktor Naslund D 6'1 190 HV 71
18.Johan Alm D 6'2 194 Skelleftea
19.Fredrik Bjorklund F 6'4 198 Mora
20.Fabian Sivnert G 5'11 180 Malmo
21.Cristopher Cunningham C 6'3 190 Lindkoping
22.Fredrik Claesson D 6'1 200 Djurgarden
23.Markus Kinisjarvi F 6'0 187 Vasteras
24.Mattias Granlund F 5'10 165 Skelleftea
25.Carl-Johan Moller C 5'9 176 TImra
26.Patrik Nemeth D 6'3 214 AIK
27.Erik Thorell F 5'9 160 Farjestad
28.Patrik Naslund F 6'3 210 Vaxjo
29.Sebastian Dyk F 6'1 167 Malmo
30.Jens Hoffman D 6'6 205 Sodertalje
31.David Rydell F 6'0 193 MODO
32.Axel Wemmenborn C 6'0 191 Malmo
33.Ponthus Westerholm F 5'11 176 Malmo
34.Patrik Westerholm F 5'10 172 Malmo
35.Viktor Berglind D 5'11 176 Brynas
36.Jonathan Zaar  6'0 185 MODO
37.Henri Snall F 5'9 165 Lulea
38.Oliver Bohm D 6'3 198 Farjestad
39.Philipp Andersson  6'1 183 Farjestad
40 Adam Safwenberg D 6'7 265 ?

It's very primary thing. Do not take this list too seriously, I've personally seen only several players from it, so if some names must be added, if somebody is too low or too high, give your opinions.

I watched the finals in junior b last night and Oscar Lindberg was by far the most dominant player on the ice. Every time he was on the ice something happend.
Great skater, puck wizard, played the body ánd he was playing pretty god defense inkl boxplay. Adam Pettersson was good but Lindberg was great.
I have seen a couple of games this year and in alla of them Oscar has been the best player on the ice

He was probobly the best d man on the ice, he out played Tim Eriksson (who had som troubles). He had some nice rushes offensivly and he was great defensivly. He trhrew his body around pretty god aswell, semed to have a pretty nasty streak in him. This guy got some huge potential

Btw, how's your son doing? I'm really hoping we will get a nice powerforward.

How about Henrik Messfeldt and Filip Forsberg I see they are at the top of u-16 playoff scoring with high goal totals yet there is no mention of them?

Yes he does

Well Eric is doing just fine, he has been playing defence for the last 2 months.
His skating is sick (i know i zm his father but still), he i s so smoth and fast, both backwards and forward.
10 games (10 minx2 games) 28 goals and 22 assist is his season rekord + 2 fights .... The refs has taken him out a couple of times because he hits everything that moves. He is really nasty and unfortenately he has injuried a cuple of kids but to his defence the hits have been 100 % clean.
We have been to 2 tournaments and he has been the mvp in both and the last one he was involved in 100 % of the goals our team scored during the cup

Impressive stats. Messfeldt was called up to U16 National Team.

As for Forsberg, he is 94 actually, which makes his stats extremley impressive.

Good to hear.)))

He was really strong skater for a 4 y.o. boy. Talent and attitude can get you far.

As for injuries of other kids, sure that's not pretty, but they will be more prepared to this next time.

The fact he managed to get over PPG in both J20 and J18 this season is outstanding. Sure he didn't play much, but still. Can't wait to watch him at Tv-Pucken next season.
