This was posted at the end of the pmD thread, but I don't see it getting much traction...

Ib4 Yandle 4 Ryder

I remember there was talk by people round here about Niskanen. At 1.5 mil, I could see us trying for him

I guess that means its Morris. Liked him in his tenure.

But seriously, there's a good number to choose from. I'm more concerned with whom would be going the other way.

Get me Yandle or Niskanen....those are the only ones I could see us making a play for...OEL would be my 1st choice tho.

Yandle is going no where for anything less than Krejci. I remember during the the last thread on Yandle he was 4th in TOI, well now he is firmly first in TOI for Coyotes. Lepisto or Schlemko are more realistic

I'm guessing Lepisto or Niskanen. No way we're getting Yandle, as much as I'd love that.

How about for Colborne and the BOS 2011 1st? I think that's fair value.

Hub, without tipping too much of the FO's hand, you seem to be implying that the Bruins would simultaneously get cap relief AND a defenseman. Am I reading that correctly or are you referring to two separate deals (Sturm for cap relief then player or prospect for defenseman)?

Coyotes are still in transition, too.... Hulzinger and Wheeler's non-signing & Morris' stint here

He'll need to do something, the D depth is stretched to the limit right now.

Probably fair value, but at the moment Phoenix is in the playoffs. Throw in the fact they "might" be getting stable ownership, I find it hard to believe they would be willing to trade useful members of their team for some 'what ifs' while in a playoff race.

If they are 10 points out of a playoff by the trade deadline, maybe but certainly not right now.

I'll take Karlis Skrastins - a warrior and one of the most underrated shutdown d-man in the league.

Matt Niskanen

You guys have mentioned him as a decent glass half-full kind of guy. So has Mr. Hub.

Why again?

I like that Lephisto. He's a good one and his name sounds like The Pistol.

Also, me thinks this board is overrating Niskanen.

Niskanen will always be known as the man who got his kisser rearranged by Sheriff Shane Hnidy in the infamous Dallas game..

I like Lepisto a lot.

Cheap to acquire with big upside... still has time to pull it together.

I wouldnt expect EITHER of these franchises to be taking back any significant money, so you know this deal wouldn't be much in the way of cap relief.

I would expect a low cost dman for picks, prospects or similar money going the other way.

I'd love that trade but I don't think Phoenix would do that deal. Colbourne hasn't proven too much yet and the 1st is likely in the 20ish range for Yandle, an excellent young pmd. Would need to create cap room to.
