I am bored. Figured do this again.

Jason Bowen – thought he was going to be a solid dman. Played ok then imo got hosed by the organization switching him around from d to wing. Also played when the team was still in shambles.
Kimbi Daniels – I remember talking to gene hart about him several times. Thought he would be really good player. Said he had so much talent but didn’t have the drive, also other issues.
HM – a personal favorite of mine was Clayton Norris. Thought he would be a solid 4th line fighter. Wasn’t to bad in the ahl just obviously not good enough for the nhl. Had he been a littlel bigger he might have got a chance as a fighter.

Ryan Parent I believe for obvious reasons. He had huge upside but could never fight the injury bug and was somewhat inconsistent in his tenure here.
Alex Daigle. Duh.

I always like Woywikta, Niinimaa, and Picard. In typical Flyers fashion none of them ever got a real shot here, but I thought all three looked like they had solid careers ahead of them when they got shipped off before they had a chance to prove anything.

I had a hockey card with Jason Bowen. I remember it because he held his stick so weird when taking a slapshot. The lower hand was also on top of the stick, similar to the upper hand.

Bodrov, I thought he was going to be D.Markov type of player after he played in WJC.

He made it here but was not as good as I thought he would be. I do not think he will ever come here again even know he left on good terms

Pitkanen, Daigle, Dopita, Somik, that dude we got in the Lindros trade, Woywitka, Rosie, D-man from DE we traded to Pittsburgh (he played the same time as Seidenberg, who is another one I would have loved to see stay), and there another guy from about 5 or 6 years ago that I can't remember his name (10 years - Drozdetsky)....I'll have to look it up. Freddy Meyers was decent too.

Non Flyer.....what the hell ever happened to David Tanabe?

Oh, and of course, add in Downie and Maroon!

Thread screams Maroon, but I'll go with Ruzicka and Potulny only because we don't know Maroon's fate just yet.

I really would love to see ruzicka return. He would be a good option imo to try fill a wing spot cheaply. It is a low risk move. Work something out that if he doesn’t make the team he can go back to Russia if he likes. I have heard he really has improved his overall game. I know he had that stigma as a lazy player but I never bought into that. I wonder if they even talk to him (or if his name ever comes up) or if he is totally out.

Denis Tolpeko. Should've been given more of a shot. He was actually pretty solid.

Agreed on Tolpeko and Lasse, who was mentioned earlier. I also liked Somik.

Possibilities like:

Sharp - Richards - Zherdev
Hartnell - Briere - Leino
Kane - Carter - Giroux

Sometimes things are just a roll of the dice.

Maxime Ouellet--Really thought he was going to be our answer in goal for the next 15-16 years after we drafted him. i remember how pissed I was when the Flyers traded him to Washington in the Oates trade. He was last seen in the LNAH a couple of years ago and is now out of hockey as a player anyway.
hes probably the reason why we dont draft goalies high anymore.

Unless he's changed significantly, I don't think the Flyers could handle more lazy and/or dangerous stick violations. Thanks, but no thanks.

I really liked Richard Park too. Still do. Nice third liner who plays the game smart.

- We never gave Denis Seidenberg a fair chance.
- I find we got rid of Prospal and Zubrus too early.
- Patrick Sharp is the worst trade we've ever made. He wasn't bad for us, we just didn't wait long enough or give him a chance off the fourth line.
- I liked Kalinski's tenacity and hope he would get a chance over Nodl or some of the other call ups. He did well during his stints with us.
- Justin Williams was just becoming a good player when he was traded.
- I think Upshall could be much better with lots of playing time and hate that trade.

Pitkanen, Seidenberg, Parent, Sharp, Fedotenko and sadly JVR is starting to fall into this category.

I don't think Tertushny failed, per se. It's kind of hard to succeed when you die tragically.

I really wish we could have held on to Upshall. He'd be great on this team right now.
