Future of Denis Arkhipov

I'm not a Preds fan so I don't see many games. I heard Arkhipov was pretty poor last year. I've always liked him as a player and thought he could be a very good 2nd liner centre capable of 20-25 goals and 50-60 points. Where does he fit in for next season? What is his upside?

he's gonna be a 90 point center, who is rock solid in his own zone and tries hard on every shift. just ask SNA. (SNA loves Arkhipov)

I honestly believe he's going to be selling Russian Vodka in Kazan, Russia by the end of this year or maybe earlier.

You hit his upside on the head, but whether he will reach it......I'm not so sure. He is a big risk right now. The trick is getting this kid confident and working hard. He does have some good skills, and his size really can allow him to take over in the offensive zone at times.

Seriously, if he can cash in on his potential, he has some skills. However, I wasn't sold on him here when we had him and remain unsold on him now. I like him as a human being as he's always very nice and pleasant, but I'm not sold that he's the #2 center in the organization, for that matter not sold he's one of the top 4 centers in the organization. Despite that Denis can score more, I'd take Classen over him in a heartbeat, at least Greg's head isn't in the clouds when skating backwards (at least when the concussion isn't acting up).

Arky hasn't seemed the same since the DUI, but probably just a coincidence. IMO Arky's future in the NHL is all up to him. He has the talent and size and it's all what he decides to make of it.

Arkhi

At a minimum he should be a 20-30 goal scorer. I've about decided he's the Peter Prinicipal of hockey.

I don't think Arkhipov will ever return to his potential at this point, specifically not the twenty goal plateau. Even Legwand, who is clearly more skilled and talented at this rate won't likely become a 30 goal scorer in Trotz's system in my opinion.

Arkhipov to get 20 while playing even less time than Legwand? I doubt it.
