I think it's a smart move to let Kari rest, it doesn't like a serious injury so I am not too worried but we have been playing him too much. So sitting him out a week won't hurt us.

so, I moved to TX from NC for the army about a year ago and have been waiting since then to get to a Dallas vs. Carolina game, since the Canes are my team.....

aaaaaand I am deployed.....so this sucks. I wish i could have been home to go up to the AA center to watch the teams play. i sort of adopted the stars long before I moved to TX, I have always liked their game. Coincidentaly, the first NHL game I ever went to was in 1998 i think, Dallas @ Carolina, not in raleigh, but in Greensboro. I was hoping to get to a game in Dallas before i left TX, but i wont be back till next summer, and will be up in Nashville by the beginning of next season. Bummer.

There's something pretty amusing about "We wish you a Merry Christmas" being played sprightly by clarinet over scenes of fists flying.
