the rule was changed to address that possibility - there was no "distinct kicking motion" that I saw.

But since I'm not a devil's fan I really don't give a ****

The one good thing that comes out of a win that prevents us from a good pick, especially if it was a garbage win, was the relief and joy that LeClaire showed when the buzzer went. You could see he was stoked to win, because he probably just got another start, despite that POS goal he let in.

Right, but you are allowed to place your skate and direct the puck in. You can angle your skate the the puck directs into the net.

There was no distinct kicking motion, therefore it should be a goal.

Hey, i'm glad we won, I'm just saying that goal should have counted.

IMO, that isn't a kick. In order for a kicking motion to happen, your foot must move in relation to the rest of your body, not in relation to the ice.

Regardless, the Devils sucked and deserved to lose so it doesn't bug me that much. Congrats on the win.

Clarkson's leg is clearly moving forward, I don't see how that isn't a goal. I was actually surprised there was a thread about it.

The best of all this arguing is that I thought both teams played pretty crappy all game, we just played slightly less crappy, but of course Ill take the win. Im off to bed since I gotta wake up at 430am, Ill be dreaming of sugar plums and Leclaire kick saves all night.

Oh, nevermind, I forgot we are the worst team in the NHL
Compared to the Devils coaching Clouston looked like friggin Scotty Bowman. The Devils have to be one of the worst coached teams I've seen in a while. Honestly, at one point I saw 3 players lined up on the offensive blueline, and I could swear they were playing the trap while down a goal.

As much as his face looks like a smorgasbord of features, I want to kiss Leclaire's disgusting mug. This will be the TSN turning point of the season.

Until we can actually beat a good team convincingly, I don't see the season turning around.

The New Jersey Devils have won multiple cups and have one of the greatest goaltenders of all time. Yes, using the small sample size we call "this season", they are utter poo, but they are for real, and dominating them is something to be proud of.

LOLWUT?!

There is so much wrong with this post and your previous post, that it is mind boggling. So you're saying that beating the last place team in the NHL (barely) is going to mark a turning point in our season, when A) We still played like crap and B) We have this Kovalev dilemma going on at the moment? Bull****! You're reasoning of beating New Jersey being a big deal is hilarious. They've won muliple cups, yes. So have the Leafs. It's completely irrelevant to this season as you can tell from Jersey's "fantastic" record. And another thing, we were far and away from dominating New Jersey tonight. We won by a single goal, with a controversial disallowed goal in the last 5:00 of the 3rd. The defence was awful and the goaltending was iffy.

Jesus Christ. This game will not mean anything. It just further proves that we are an 8th-15th finishing team in the East as we barely beat the worst team in the NHL. Not to mention Parise is injured, and didn't play. Let's get some actual dominating performances against some playoff teams and begin a decently lengthy streak of wins before we declare a "turning-point" of the season.

/end rant.
