I watched last night, Columbus Tampa bay, Tampa barely got the win in the shoot out, Columbus looked very competent, fast, hard shots to net from the point, hard working, Tampa in the other hand was trying not to loose., Rick Nash looked really good.

I don't think this is going to be an easy one as I expected to be.

Hi Florida fans.

This should be the "How many times with Jeff Rimer screw-up the team names?" GDT or the "Battle of Inept Power Plays Edition".

CBJ line-up used last night:

Nash - Brassard - Voracek
Huselius - Vermette - Umberger
Clark - Pahlsson - Dorsett
Calvert - Wilson - Boll

Hejda - Methot
Tyutin - Klesla
Russell - Clitsome (yes that is his name)

Garon was in net.

However according to our beat writers' blog:
Quote:
I would suspect there will be lineup changes for the Blue Jackets. Forwards Andrew Murray and Derek MacKenzie and defenseman Anton Stralman have been the preferred healthy scratches of coach Scott Arniel in recent games, but that could change. Makes sense to get some healthy, rested bodies in the lineup.

Plus, this way all the proud papas will get to see their kids play on the trip.

-- Looks like G Steve Mason is going to play tonight. Same situation as yesterday as Mason continues to get over an undisclosed injury. Mathieu Garon could go, but the plan is to start Mason as of noon. Mason has stopped 54 of 55 shots in two career starts vs. the Panthers.
http://blog.dispatch.com/cbj/2011/01...lorida_1.shtml

If Murray and MacKenzie play, expect two of the following to sit:
Calvert, Wilson, Clark, maybe Dorsett/Boll

If Stralman is in, I think Russell or Clitsome sit.

Mason still sounds iffy.

I heard Vokoun. As every game for the rest of the season is while we're still mathematically in the race, this is a VERY important game.

Nah... that doesn't happen.

Yeah in the arena when Goldstein is doing the highlights in the intermission, he's always jinxing. Against Washington I think he said "Panthers 20 minutes away from getting their 2nd (or 3rd) straight win." I think it was even worse than that. It was a one goal game, that was quickly tied.

Lindsay's mic should be turned off in the last 5 minutes of a game

Hopefully we get 2 points tonight. We're not out of it yet, but we need to start another winning streak.

How the guys respond tonight to the crushing loss last game will pretty much tell us if were still fighting or done

My friend, these are the Florida Panthers. You should know by now that they don't START fighting until they are already done.

The moment playoffs seem an impossibility, they surprise you with spirited, effective hockey. The moment they have you believing...even just a little bit... they blow a two goal lead with two minutes left.

I knew Goldie and Lindsay were jinxing us when they started saying how well we were playing and how it was pretty much in the bag. Sure enough...

Hopefully we can get back on track tonight.

We need to rebound in a huge way. Put that Atlanta loss behind us and get the job done tonight with 2 points. I just have a feeling the Cats rebound big tonight and win 5-2 with 2 more PP goals. Lets keep the point streak alive. LETS GO CATS!!!!!!

Still PO'd about the last game. When does a team get 2 goals while they got their net empty. Rare. Except when you play in south florida against the panthers. This game is whatever.

I don't believe in jinxes or curses. Those two clowns can say whatever they choose on t.v. The truth, my friends is wrapped up nicely above by ATF. As mad as I was about the game, I was angrier at myself for believing again. I swore I wouldn't do that this season. And they got me. Again. Worst girlfriend ever!

I know this might sound illogical to any outsider or any logical human being, but I'm feeling very uneasy with a 2-0 lead
