the offseason, whatcha gonna do?

Even during the season, the board is sparcely populated. Only a handful.

What is there to talk about? Thrashers have barely done anything to warrent there fanbase to grow by a huge margin. No one in the Atl area reports on the Thrashers, and rarely find any info on other NHL related sites about the Thrashers. There is just nothing to talk about right now. Give us something worth talking about.

Man the thrashers need to do something about giving us more info. The AJC needs to hire a person to specifically cover hockey. Bring in a canadian writer. Do something.

There will be plenty to talk about with the draft coming up this weekend and then prospect camp shortly after, don't worry. The on-ice dates are July 10-18 at the IceForum and it is open to the public. I don't know the times yet, but I'll get them.

I don't think it's realistic to expect more coverage by the mainstream media in a city with so much else going on. Atlanta being a one-paper town is part of it too -- there's no competition for information or for readers. Hey, be glad the team improved its own website, it used to be even harder to get information.

There is nothing to write about for the most part. Even in a big time hockey city like Detroit there isn't much in the papers. If you were a writer how many times do you want to write about the fact that there will be a labor trouble this fall. They will get to write plenty about that later.
