Here Comes The Wild Bunch

I really enjoyed this quick hit column about the Kings. I particularly liked the take on Alec Martinez.

Quote:
A pleasant surprise Anybody who has watched rookie defenseman Alec Martinez play this season must wonder why it took so long to for him to become a regular NHL player. He skates with speed, power and grace, has a slap shot that could splinter a redwood and plays with the confidence and intelligence of a 10-year veteran. Kings coach Terry Murray acknowledged Friday that Martinez has been one of the biggest surprises this season.
Enjoy the read.

Beating the Kings will be made even tougher if Matt Cullen can’t play. The team’s third-leading scorer is dealing with a groin injury and Richards told reporters he is doubtful to play against the Kings.
If Cullen doesn't play, the Kings should win this game. Can't give up 2 points against an inferior club at home.

Cullen or not, The Wild are the type of team that gives the Kings fits. I see a low scoring game.

Whatever gave you that impression? Maybe the fact that the Kings have scored 3 goals or less for 11 straight games.

Every game with the Kings will be low scoring.

Still can't lose to these teams at home.
