Well, now that I think about it, if I were to bid on someone, and an HFer were the highest bid, I would do that same thing. I suppose Im just saying that I AM a trade sniper/ninja/ass****er, just so your aware of my antics.

Out of courtesy I have not sniped anyone and even though there were a few players I liked and people from here had bid on them

At the end of the day its a game and if someone did snipe me then ill live.

just so you know I have bid for this guy

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=576702

hopefully I can get him however it wont be the end of the world if i dont and one of you guys do.... anyway pretty sure he will go for a higher price anyway and if he does then ill just bid for this guy instead

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=315368

have all the cuts been made? If so, I also misjudged the amount of talent that would be cut, and i'll have to try to go for Ivemy even though I could've gotten goalies for much cheaper and just as good or better.

For the record, I'm going after this guy;

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=76550

And would be willing to drop all of my flex on him, which would be $2.5m.

In other news, I've been operating in flex since the budgets were instituted and I haven't seen any detrimental effects.

I know I shouldn't help a rival but you should go for that goalie. If I had the money I would. He's young as hell and at 81-82 EPA he's a top 3 goalie in 4.2 easily and most likely in any 3.x leagues if you get there.

I just made this trade. This guy offered it to me actually which is weird since the guy I give up was a FA signing.

I give this goalie who is 25 and though his trv is 67 and avg is around 60, he hasn't gained more than 4-5 TI per training.
http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=656105

I got back this dman. I needed a solid veteran for my 4th line. He fits perfectly.
http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=47667

What do you guys think?

His stats are a HUGE red flag for me, though. The kind of seasons he has had can't fully be explained by routine, imho.

I would be shocked if he went for under 7 million. He's 21 year old and will be an 89-90 EPA player by the end of the season. He tore apart US 1.1 at age 20 and everyone can see that. I would think he could get 8 million but it's hard to tell who has that much cash available. Even if you signed him I doubt you could keep him next year since his wages will likely be above the max for your team.

Appears he's played behind a ****** defense his entire career, which would account for the subpar numbers. In his best season, he faced 752 shots against in 37 starts... In comparison, the most shots Morgan (My goalie) ever saw was 598 in 40 starts. He's a pretty good goaltender, just not a Westfield-type goalie... he needs a solid D to be successful.

Wouldn't do it. I think the players you already have are better, and then you'll be taking on foreigners, so you'll be paying a bit more for them than you would for an identical US player.

hopefully a lot of managers have spent up on the earlier free agents.

also why is the kid only just turned 21 years old when he is in his 6th season???

BTW i think u got a good deal.... just hope nik dont find out you traded a free agent lol

BTW how high do you think veasey will go and would i realistically be able to afford him next year?

I would say around 6-6.5m since he's a little older and anyone with that kind of money may go after your other guy. At the same time people may clear space for that guy and if they can't afford him they may slightly overpay for this guy. You would be able to resign him next year for around 6 I would guess.

Odin- I like your proposal and I thank you for not trying to ass bang me but I am actually pretty stacked at Center so I have to decline. I have a young center that I'm trying to find a way to put into my lineup and this would only bump him down to #6 on the depth chart. Not to mention Stephen Is my only good LD and plays top line and PK.

I'd guess he'll go for 6.5ish as well, but would cost about that or more to retain, especially in a 4.x league.
