Great play, great goal. Quoting NHL 11, Havlat was like a hyena on hamburger. And Getzlaf gets the Ducks up again.

Spoke too soon - welcome back trap. Damnit Getzlaf!

At least this isn't college hockey with the stupid "and-one" penalty rule.

It's really too bad about the Whalers.

If it weren't for the coolest logo in sports this side of the Big Ten, I'd say that Hartford moving was probably the best decision money-wise Uncle Gary has made.

Spurgeon trips over Backstrom and ends up making the save of the night. There's like three things wrong with that.

Except that he moved them to Raleigh, which isn't exactly Hockeytown.

Anyway, can someone please fight the first line?

1. They don't need a second team in Hockeytown; plus given how badly the Detroit economy has tanked it's a good call to block that.

2. Raleigh has its own traditions and the market is very hockey-friendly due to the number of transplants and economy. Is it perfect? Hell no, but a lot of negatives are more perception than reality.

3. There are so many former Whalers fans who are fans of another team so it isn't like the league lost those people as fans. Then again it helps when your team is smack between four others and completely different from Minneapolis or Winnipeg.

Is there some way we can please have Burns, Havlat, and Bouchard out at all times? Those three have made me say things I usually save for Habs games, like "Wow!" or "Holy crap!" or "That was absolutely beautiful!" or "This is an NHL Hockey game."

I didn't miss a second of the game and all I can say is wow. (in both ways)

first, terrible start but then, the Burns goal on a beautiful play and finally, the answer by the Ducks.

wow.
