Who is the BPA in this scenario?

This is NOT "Who will the Rangers take at 6?"
Who would be the Best Player Available out of:

Thelen
Tukonen
Montoya
Schwarz

Tukonen is probably the safest and best overall.

Thelen is probably the most interesting.

Montoya would probably the ideal personality for NY.

And Schwarz probably has the highest ceiling.

When push comes to shove I'd probably take Tukonen just because I think he is a safe bet to at least be a third line or a playmaker. I question his ability to get goals and his physical consistency away from the offensive zone, but I think he's a player. It's just a question of how good of a player might he be.

I would have to say Tukonen just because we are desperate for LWers.
I wouldn't mind Thelen in that situation either though.

And I also think if it plays out like that we are almost sure to trade up from 24.

In my own opinion, I think one of the two goalies would have the highest upside. I rate them closely - though they have very different styles. Personally, I give a slight - VERY slight - edge to Montoya. I have several coaches rave about how his attitude.

Thelen/Tukonen - Another tough call. Thelen I still believe has the higher ceiling.

Tukonen is the safe pick, but I think his upside has limits. (That isn't to knock him at all)

Sorry, this should have read: "I have HEARD several coaches rave about how positive his attitude is, especially in relating to other players and the team concept."
