Does he have to go on RE-entry waivers to be called back up?

Yes he would, it would be a minimal amount to keep on the books. I think Montreal would just keep him in Hamilton at this point.

Good for Boyd. He now has a chance to show that he deserves to be given another shot to be a NHLer.

I'm happy he's going to go down, get a chance to play and hopefully get his confidence back.

He's our boy right now, and young himself. Your statement makes no sense.

Great news. With all the callups and injuries, Hamilton needed this. Boyd will be a pretty good AHL'er.

Nah, Maxwell and White are injured. So basically the Dogs top 6 right now is: Desharnais, Boyd, Palushaj, Wyman, Russell, Avtsin(?)
Not sure what lines the Dogs are going with now that Pacioretty is called up, but they need a little help up front.

You do realize that Boyd is only 24, and not some washed up hack still playing to collect a paycheck right?

Last game they said Maxwell shouldn't be too far away although I don't know if he made the trip down south for this upcoming 3 in 3.
Russell Engqvist Avtsin is the 3rd line.

Oh come on. White and Maxwell have both been out, the Dogs have now lost Pacioretty and Weber to the big club and DD is making a stroooong case to come up at the first injury, certainly before Boyd gets another shot. Perhaps those "young boys" would like some decent players to play with? Perhaps they enjoy winning? Sheesh.

The only bad news is he's probably not getting called up. Habs won't want a 325k cap hit on a guy playing elswhere. Maybe after the trade deadline.

He's just going to replace Pacioretty, the only guys not playing are not really NHL prospects.

They clearly needed a guy like Boyd, they only add 12 forwards and 6 dman.
The lineup could look like (it's my own guess) :
Palushaj-Desharnais-Boyd
Russell Engqvist Avtsin
Wyman-Fortier-Conboy
Bonneau-Dumont-Schultz
Extra : Bishop
Carle-Nash
Henry-Klubertanz
St.Denis-Urquhart

Finally, hope he does well in Hamilton and builds some confidence. He is still young and can improve, maybe he gets another chance here or somewhere else. Hopefully he can contribute offensively there. Maybe see where he is at compared to our other prospects.
